BTMRR closing for 3 months from Aug 24

Sad to say that BTMRR will close from August 24 - Nov 19 which means we will miss riding on our favourite ride in September. :(

Can't believe it as the same thing happened on our last trip way back in Nov 2000 - bad timing or what!?!

This is not just rumour now, it's up on the Rehab Schedule on the official WDW site.


So all you October visitors will also miss out. :rolleyes:

Big Thunder Mountain RailRoad.
Unfortunatley if you are going before Nov 19 then it will be closed.

I was just this morning telling my 3 kids how much they will love this ride as me and their dad were on it 12 years ago and LOVED it, at least splash Mountain is till going to be open in October (won't it?)

At least the Great Movie Ride will be open again I suppose.

what about space mountain - we've been to wdw 3 times each time it has been closed - we're going again on boxing day will it be open ?

Do we know why it is closing? when we were there last year it was closed. So I still am not going to ride it :(

I was just saying to DH that it was closed when we went last year - then I looked at the date. I was panicking there for a minute.
