View Full Version : Why does it take so long for tickets?
Hi there!
Im used to seeing the various praises and complaints about the length of time it takes for tickets to arrive, even from reputable, well known suppliers.
I had to wait 17days (inc post strike admitedly(2day delay max!)), for tickets to arrive from themeparkticketsdirect - not a huge wait I know!
I have to ask though, even an average wait of 14days seems a long time to wait for a few pieces of paper to be printed/"energised"...why does it take some of these firms so long?...it seems so easy, surely?!. :confused2
Anyone agree?
p.s. my MNSSHP tickets arrived in 3days from Florida!! :thumbs-up

I guess there is an advantage to businesses in keeping your money in their bank account until the last possible minute.

I think the longest I had to wait was 8 days (was told 10 at the time of booking due to a holdup at the Disney end )... I have just this minute ordered mine from ATD and was told 7 days :spin: I am quite happy with this as I think with the turnover this company has they must need a constant stream from the various themeparks..
and they pricematched too .. bonus!!

I must confess that is what I think too to be honest!! They must somehow gain a bit out of it by hanging on for a while!. :confused2
It would appear that although price is a main factor for most, inc moi, that speed of delivery should play a bigger part in some of the postings!!
In hindsight I should have maybe used ATD or OTD, but had heard they wouldnt price match at the time to £147!. Now, I hear OTD has got them for £145!.
O well, live and learn, and hey, I werent in a rush and I did get them thru. :spin:

So not all ticket brokers keep a hold of your money .. Well done again ATD :spin:
I booked mine with Flordatix one of the Dibb sponsors and I got mine delivered to the Falklands within 10 days of placing my order which I thought was fantastic seeing as we only have 1 flight a week that brings mail!
