You're definitely not alone. I cry at anything 'Disney' - When you wish upon a star, the parades, the shows, the fireworks......Drives DH to distraction!

I am not afraid to say I have cried at certain points in my life..............but not in a Disney setting.

I cry a lot at Disney (often even at the background music!) but as my children would mock me I have perfected the art of doing it discreetly behind my sunglasses!

The worst culprits are Illuminations, Main St Electrical Parade (although will have to go back to California to see this now) and Fantasmic. Even listening to the music at home makes me well up

I'm listening to my iPod at work now, Disney songs - some are really making me fill up! I'm pretty soppy anyway, but I just can't believe that I'm finally going to Disney...
Biggest culprits: Somewhere Out There (I LOVE American Tail) and for some reason Circle of Life, I can imagine myself sitting at Festival of the Lion King and thinking to myself, I'm here, I'm actually here.

I also cry a lot at the "Happiest Place on Earth". The Festival of the Lion King especially gets me. Nothing wrong with showing your feelings is there fellow Dibbers ;) :thumbs-up

I had my first trip in 2005. I never thought i would be able to go and it was also my first trip abroad so it was extra special.
I can't describe how it felt when we had our first walk down Main Street towards the Castle. It totally took my breath away and i had a lump in my throat the whole time.
I am another cryer i'm afraid. The main culprit for me is Wishes. That really makes me feel emotional. I was watching a Dibbers Wishes video the other night and i just starting blubbing.
It just brings back so many wonderful memories and its also the huge build up to the holiday. When you know its getting closer and closer!! :spin:
I get a lump in my throat during The Lion King Show, Spectromagic, Illuminations, Fantasmic, Shamu's show and Blue Horizons.
What a softie.

Well I'm filling up now just reading these posts so how what sort of a wuss does that make me?! ;)
Always at Illuminations, Wishes, Lion King and Fantasmic when the boat appears. Especially at Illuminations where my kids just watch me waiting for me to start! Who cares? Not me!
Here's to lots more tears in 2 weeks time ......!!!!!!!!!! :spin:

it doesn't matter what it is i always manage to have years when it comes to disney. they seem to know what buttons to press!!
I always cry at "circle of life" as well. We had it played at my daughters disney wedding in January, when we all walked down the aisle. I could cry just thinking about it. The Lion King is my favourite disney movie.

Yup - me too but I try to keep it under control!!!!! I've got worse over the years and often get caught when i'm not expecting it, (don't even mention me sniffing at my daughters carol concert :erm: )
Disney are the masters at giving you a lump in your throat - does it to me every time!!

Surely this is a wind-up. I really can't imagine anyone crying at the sight of mock up cartoon castles or a few fireworks (however well set up they might be), etc.
If the posts are genuine, I appologise.

TBH i'm usually grinning like a madwoman rather than crying in the parks but the sad bits from Disney films in Cinemagique at DLP made me cry, I was frantically trying to wipe my eyes so my sister wouldn't take the mick but afterwards she admitted it makes her cry too. We're a right pair! :tounge:

Good job Orlando warrants sunglasses most of the time - otherwise everybody could see me with tears! :omg:
I get so emotional with even a sniff of Disney music - whether its in the car or on Main Street!

It's most definately true ever since i was little, always at the end of films, usually at the happy ending that gets me ebry time!!!:(. Not sure but every time!!!

Glad it's not only me - only have to hear that song and it starts me off!! Remember watching the Lion King show in Disney and sobbing only to hear a small boy saying to his mom 'why is that lady crying?'
One thing that will stay with me is being in the underwater viewing gallery at Shamu stadium where they had a mother and her calf (there was nobody else around, only my friend and I) and the baby came up to the glass and I can remember looking straight in its eye and talking to it(!)and it started nodding at me and then put it's tongue on the glass (as they do in the show), well at that point I was totally crying my eyes out. I always tend to get quite emotional when I get to Sea World anyway for some reason!

it's actually the music that makes us cry, music is known to provoke massive emotional responses, it can lift our spirits, make us cry and have us sat on the edge of our seats in a theatre totally terrified and mesmorised at the same time
you've just got to ask would jaws be that scary without the music?
i've never managed to stay up that late yet to see wishes but i'm sure i will cry when i do see it
