Hi,

Having done a lot of the obvious U.S. cities on holidays and some of the less obvious last year during 7 weeks in the USA following a round the world trip, we are looking at starting our West Coast Canada holiday next year in Seattle.

With Seattle being so close to Vancouver it is a good opportunity to "tick off" another U.S. city, one of which I've heard good things about....when it's not raining!!!

Question is, has anybody been? Is 3 days enough to see most of the sights etc

Any tips greatly appreciated as always...

Thanks

Would love to hear about your around the world trip! Sounds brill! Was in Seattle a few years ago. We started our holiday in Vancouver, which is a lovely city! From there you can go to Whistler or Victoria! We took greyhound from Vancouver to Seattle. We spent a weekend there from Friday morning to late Sunday evening. Go up the Space needle (an observation deck) to get a good view of the city from above. We went early morning and again at night! The city looks different! You can take the monorail from the Space Needle to downtown. Its only a few minutes walk, but the monorail was a nice experience! Downtown has Macys,Nordstroms and the usual selection of shops! There is also a cheesecake factory! Seattle is surrounded by water. We did a boat cruise one afternoon. It was raining heavily that day- but it just added to the experience! Besides the Space Needle there is EMP- experience music project. It has exhibits on various artists! Enjoyable! It hosts live music sessions too- like battle of the bands. Also enjoyed wondering around Pike marketplace. We had a great time! Sorry for rambling!
