Here it is: the bare necessities about something happening this fall on DVD and at Animal Kingdom, if you're a passholder.

If you've been to one of those big-box DVD outlets in town, you've probably already seen the rack cards promoting the upcoming re-release of "The Jungle Book." It's the 40th anniversary of the Disney classic, and there probably will be many unique tie-ins between the DVD and everything else Disney. Naturally, Animal Kingdom is getting in on the fun (and the cross-promotion).

On Sept. 29, passholders at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will get to stay two extra hours after the park’s usual closing time. You have to have a valid passholder ID and you have to be preregistered at disneyworld.com/passholder in order to take part in the event.

In addition to the park attractions like DinoLand USA, Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest, "Jungle Book" stars such as Baloo, King Louie, Mowgli and Colonel Hathi will appear to greet guests.

Fun-loving Baloo would approve, no doubt. And maybe Kipling would, too.
