We have just come back from Hampton lakes... the villa was lovely, but it seemed to take an age to get anywhere... the 192 was constantly busy and it took us the same amount of time to drive down to Busch Gardens as it did to get to Universal. My question is, where can we stay next time (villa) which is more central and closer to the i4. Can anyone help?

Hampton Lakes is really close to the I4 at Champions Gate. As well as that you can take a short cut that brings you out near Black Lake Road and then onto Sherberth Rd which cuts out the need to travel all the way down the 192. :)

Here is the link to the shortcut, as Milly can describe it better than I can ;)

she was staying at Tuscan Hills, but it is great for anyone staying on the 27. Our villa is straight opposite at Legacy and we used it all the time in July. :d:

If you want to stay as near as possible to Disney then you should stay around sunset lakes or Lindfields area.

Hi,
Last yr we stayed at a villa near Champions Gate. The place was called West Haven where there are several places with villas, ours was The Manor, there was also The Abbey, The Sanctuary. Also, near Champions Gate was Winward Bay. From these places you can be on the I4 from 5 - 10 mins from your villa. Once on the I4 we were about 10 mins from Disney & about 25mins from Universal. Also, going the other way on the I4 we were about 50 mins from Busch. We really liked it there, as the area around Champtions Gate was really quiet. There was a Publix, a Walgreens as well as some restuarants like Chilli's. Although we were further away from the parks than we had been when we stayed at Windsor Palms, we found it much quicker getting to the parks, except for a couple of occasions when we got stuck in traffic on the I4.

We are in Kissimmee. We are very close to everything a genuine 10 mins to Disney property a few minutes to 535 for Buena Vista, Premium Outlets etc .There is a I4 junc on 535 but we always go up international drive turning off 535 and then cut round the back of Point Orlando to Universal Bvld.

Our villa is on Indian Creek, which is in the Formosa Gardens area off of the 192, very good for the Sherberth Road short cut. Take a look at the Dibb villa map and it will show you how close some estates really are :thumbs-up
