hi mick

the AM is in Altamonte springs its exit 92 off the I4 going towards sanford.

in our villa handbook it said it was a good mall and a bit less crowded than the florida mall mostly full of locals.

we really like the FM but was wondering how AM compared

The Altamonte mall is slightly smaller but i've heard the prices are a bit lower in some stores as it isn't in the tourist corridor. TBH though we've never found the Florida Mall that busy even at weekends, certainly nothing like the Trafford Centre gets like over here.

Hi. We prefer to go to the AM. The prices are cheaper as it's off the tourist route. I don't think there are as many shops as the FM and the food court isn't as big but there is a Bahama Breeze at AM. I would give it a go just so you can see for yourself. There's no harm in trying both Malls

Hi
We have been to Altamonte Mall a few times, it is smaller than the florida mall but has a good selection of shops. There is also a Tj Maxx, Ross, and Burlington store across the road.
It is very easy to find, straight on the I4 and come off at the Junction and it is just ahead.

We did both on this trip and the AM was much less crowded but there was a better selection of stores in the FM. Given the choice I'd pick the FM

Without a shadow of a doubt, I would always choose the Altamonte Mall. I used to live in Altamonte Springs and love this mall! The main reason I always choose this mall when we go to Orlando is because, in general, the sales are SO MUCH BETTER! I think this is because there are very few Brits who shop here. The Americans are used to the kind of prices that we Brits drool over, and therefore expect bigger discounts in the sales and promotions. We mainly check out each of the four dept stores and check which items are on sale or reduced in which store. We always pick up some UNBELIEVABLE bargains which we have not been able to match at the Florida mall. Also, there is a Bahama Breeze right next next door :tounge:

I grew up going to the Alamtonte Mall. It is smaller than Florida Mall but it does have all of the big name shops and good department stores.

Click here (http://www.altamontemall.com/html/index20.asp) for their website.

There are two other malls that would be good for you to consider if you are looking for malls other than Florida Mall (http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=139) & Millenia Mall (http://www.mallatmillenia.com/luxurious/luxurious.htm). They are easy to get to as well and both are off of Colonial Drive. One is on the east side and one on the west side.

Option #1 is: Orlando Fashion Square (http://www.orlandofashionsquare.com/)

Option #2 is: West Oaks Mall (http://www.westoaksmall.com/html/Index2.asp)
