Thanks to all of your advice, and reading some wonderful trip reports we have now decided to book a cruise for our 10 year anniversary next summer :spin: Very, very excited!
I have emailed three different travel agents today - dreams unlimited, vacations to go and mouse ear vacations.
Vacations to go have already got back to me already :omg: with a quote but it is almost too good to be true ...
Cat 5 deluxe stateroom with a verandah, August 14th-17th, 2 adults, 2 children
DCL quote - $2495
Vacationstogo quote - $1529.43
Does this seem right to you? I have read down to the bottom of the email and the quote includes taxes, is there anything else I'm missing or questions I should be asking as I can't see how they can offer the same cruise at such a saving?!?
If I am being ridiculous and should bite their hand off before they change their mind please tell me!
Also, does anyone know the difference between a deluxe stateroom with a verandha and a deluxe family stateroom with a verandah? Can't quite see the difference on the disney site other than the price?
That's all for now folks! Claire :wavey:

Got some on board credit too ,so if thats their price, I'd go for it quickly!!

I think the family one will accommodate the kids more comfortably than the regular stateroom (this may have bunks coming out of the wall above the bed or something like that...)
Good price ~ go for it!!
DCL quote may include pre-paid gratuities? Maybe not ~ just a thought...

Have friends who have used Vacations to Go for several cruises as their prices are always really good, so it probably isn't a mistake in the price. Get yourself booked and enjoy it when it comes!

The DCL quote will include insurance and transport to cruise (which you can opt out of as you go through the booking process) but this should normally account for no more than around $500 in total extra.
So it seems you have a very good price as long as the Vacationstogo price does include all the port taxes and that they are quoting for a cat5 also. etc.
(The DCL quote will not include gratuties BTW.)
Are you looking at a 3 or 4 night cruise price - either way your price looks very good for a Summer sailing. !! :tounge:
Just FYI the cat.5 and cat.6 cabins are identical but the cat 5 are on a slightly higher deck..so you may want to consider saving some $s and go for the cat6 (you can always ask to be wait listed if not available - plenty will get re- released again this far out from your cruise)
The family staterooms as far as I know are the cat4s which sleep 5.

PS. Interested to know how your Mouse Ear Vacations quote compares, as I hadn't heard of them till they started sponsoring the Dibb earlier this week.

Thanks everyone, just waiting on a price for the 4 day cruise as the price is soooo good!
The price from Mouse Ear Vacations was $2315 for 3 day cruise, cat 5 room.
The Vacations To Go price was $1527 for the same cruise :spin: , it was $50 less for a cat 6 so a slight saving to be made
The DCL price was $2495 after I had taken out all the options for transportation and insurance
Still waiting on a price from Dreams Unlimited but to be honest I don't think I'm going to beat that Vacations to Go price!
Another question... I remember reading somewhere that there is website which rates the different rooms on the ship but I can't find it and I know that Vacations to Go do give you some choice on your room. Does anyone know the address for this site?
Thanks again, Claire :wavey:

Have a look on the Dreamsunlimited website - they have individual stateroom reports done by past cruisers.
sounds great, happy planning:)
