Hi there,
I hope someone can help? I am going to Disney in october for 2 weeks:jump: :jump: :jump: and would like to know if there are any ladies plus size shops in the International drive area? I am staying at The Best Western plaza. We are not having a car so it would have to be in the International Drive area.
Thanks, Jeanette:wink

you can buy larger sized clothes most places in Orlando. The Belz at the top of I-drive, and the Premium Outlet store at the other end (near Disney) will both have stuff, but if you can get to the Florida Mall then you will be in 7th heaven, all the department stores sell nice larger sized clothes, and there is a lovely store called Lane Bryant which sells really nice trendy clothes.

I think florida is more geared up to larger size clothing than anything else, not wanting to rude, but some americans are very very Large:blush: .
You will be in seventh heaven with the choice!

J C Penneys have a lovely selection of "plus size" clothes, so too does Ross's. They are at some of the shopping malls.
Also Walmart does a nice range of budget clothes too (she says whilst actually wearing a pair of navy shorts which were a mear $10 from there!!) and I got some lovely vest tops from there, again 2 for $8!!! Although they're budget they wash up a treat!!!! :D
Enjoy your shopping!!!!!!!!:D

I'm afraid the Floriday Mall is no where near I- Drive - It's at the top end of the Orange Blossom Trail.

Hi
We went to the Florida Mall and thought it well worth the 20 min trip (from where we were nr SeaWorld). It is out towards the Airport on that main road - lots of easy signposts!

Florida Mall is excellent for clothes for "fluffies" (that's how I describe myself I learnt this phrase from an American girlfriend of mine and it's sort of stuck)
Lane Bryant - is great they sell underwear as well as casual to smart clothes and I tend to spend a small fortune in here - their jeans are wonderful.
Dillards - has a great "real" women section
Sears - again a good selection and they also sell all the Lakeland clothes in the large sizes which is fantastic.
If you don't fancy getting on the Lynx then believe me the cab ride alone is worth all the savings I made. I even picked up a 2 piece silk/poyester trouser suit in Sears for just £30 and I wore it to a wedding this saved me so much money to get something that good say from Anne Harvey would have cost me in the region of £100.

In department store head for the "Womens" section where the larger sizes tend to be. JC Penny is good as are most of the department stores in the malls. Another vote for Lane Bryant, and the Dress Barn in Premium Outlet Mall. Am losing weight for my trip in October (down from dress size 26 to 20) but still intend to visit these stores!!
