Hi

Just wondered if any of you could recommend somewhere that maybe you or friends have been to. Me and my friend are planning a last minute holiday in september, only problem is we have no idea where to go. :confused2 Our budgets wont stretch as far as Florida  unfortunatly.

We were thinking of places like menorca, tenerife, crete etc. Basically somewhere quiet (not with lots of nightclubs like big resorts), reasonably hot, not too expensive and with a hotel with air conditioned rooms.

Any places to try looking at, or anywhere to avoid would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I just booked my parents into a lovely villa in Vilamoura Old Village in Portugal ~ looks so nice we are considering it ourselves for the beginning of next year :)

Neighbours of ours have stayed there in the past and they loved it.

Cyprus is also a nice option.

Have fun wherever you end up :)

costa teguise in lanzarote hubby,DS1 and I had a fab holiday there, its not too noisy (defo not rowdy)but enough cafe/bars to eat in or have a drink.

Hubby and I have just booked a week to costa del sol (fuengirola) in november just the 2 of us (kids staying home with nanny) traveling from our local airport, transfers and holiday insurance £360 for us both(£180 each) we were well impressed! there are lots of bargains to be had at the moment, good luck and enjoy where ever you choose :)

we're just about to do the same. We did it last year and ended up in Menorca which was really nice.
We 'll just go in and see what comes up on the computer, they can usually tell you whether its a quiet resort etc. Hope you find somewhere nice.

THAILAND. I know you will be thinking it will cost but we are going again in September and it has not cost me much more than when we went to the Fuerteventura. Do it all yourself over the net - flights hotel etc, it saves you a load.

LOVE THAILAND

May I ask where you find your flights and accomodation? I´ve looked into this option a couple of times and it always seems soooo expensive.

Palma; Majorca is beautiful! We stayed at the Hotel Araxa (Spelling!?!) With airconditioning! You could walk into the main city but the hotel was not near clubs or anything. Lots of site seeing to do and theres a marina and a castle type thingy up the hill with beautiful views if the ocean! Lovely and not your typical brit hol with a wimpy at every corner! Although there is a Macdonalds in city centre! You would need a little Spanish too.

Koz; Greece was great too. We stayed in Koz town but it was actually up the beach in a great apartment with a bar and restaurant away from all the clubs and bars. There was a supermarket up the road and some restaurants a few mins walk away! No aircon though. Our apartment was on the third floor and we had ocean views of Main land Greece and Turkey -i think!

Good Luck. :D

the Iberostar Creta Mare or Panorama (run as one hotel) near Rethmynon on Crete,

- fantastic hotel; all inclusive with great food , choice of swim pools, drinkable wine on tap, good transport links to rest of island , superb grounds (almost like the Caribbean !) beautiful views on quiet headland location, clean rooms - just wonderful !!

Goa - not cheap to go but we lived like kings for next to nothing. Coke was 5p a bottle and a good meal out with drinks cost about £7 for both of us - not each.
