I was just wondering if anyone has used Expedia for booking their accomodation. I've been using them to keep an eye on prices for next summer and they do seem to be competitive rate-wise, so I would be glad to hear from anyone who has used them!

I've used them a couple of times for hotels (Las Vegas and , Amsterdam). Both times were conventions, so hotels were pretty busy everywhere, but expedia came through with the best price. Never had a problem when I checked in either. The hotel always had my reservation and knew that it was prepaid.

They may not always be the cheapest for flights, but their accomodation prices, as you say, are usually pretty competative.

I have used Expedia lots of times to price flights, although I must admit that I then book direct with the airline!

Hotels are fine though. In my experience the booking process goes OK - and the hotels always have had my details when I check in.

Don't forget that you have to pay in full when you book with Expedia, rather than when you check out of the hotel.

For my trip in December, expedia offered the best 'package' of flights and hotel that I wanted and I would have booked with them if I hadn't have got the $20.03 rate by emailing the Marriott's reservation manager. Because of this I booked the hotel directly and the flight with BA directly.

Expedia are always well worth a look.

We booked with Expedia when we stayed at the Disney hotel in California. It had some great last minute deals ie 5 days before we went. Did it all on line after 48 hours phoned the Disney Hotel and YES the booking was there all done correctly etc

I've booked flights with EXpedia before and have booked accomodation with them this year. No problems to report.....yet !

I've booked all but one of my hotels over the last three years (about seven trips) with Expedia, without a hitch. This year I got a great rate for the Hard Rock Hotel with them, unfortunately they couldn't match the great rate I found on USARooms.co.uk for the Hilton in Downtown Disney...
