Buzz Light Year Score

Just got to ask has anyone ever achieved the highest score you can get. (999999)

Last week when we were there I partnered my MIL, and she got the top score of 999999. MY DH and FIL were disgusted as they get more competative than even my kids.

I haven't, managed nearly a 400,000 though, much to the DH disgust ;) . There are lots of threads on here telling you how to do it, but I am keeping that little snippet from him :pgig:

Ooohhh.....are there secrets? I am rubbish at this but Michael is really really good!!! Might have to swot up and beat him next time!!! Mwa haa haa (evil genius laugh!!) x

Hi, yep 999,999 last visit in 2006. Slightly by default though - there was a temporary fault of some sort and the car stopped for about 5 minutes, so just blasted away !!!

The only tip I know is to keep your finger pressed on the trigger at all times.

There are certain spots which are ment to be high scoring too, not sure where though. I think one on the Robots arm, and one on a doorway maybe?

I've heard this too - I shall certainly be trying this next year as I'm useless on this ride, my fingers ache and I can't do it as fast as my lot :(

once i got to a few thousand! only because it broke down........but then there was a tecnical fault and i had to start again

My MIL has now admitted her score shot right up when she hit the Volcano!!!!! She kept that one quiet when we were there.

Tips for Scoring Big on Buzz:

In general, aim for targets far away for the most points. Also, things that are moving are worth more points than things that are stationary, and things that are down low, at hard-to-reach angles are worth more, too.

When you pass the robot on your left (the Rock'em Sock'em type Robot), spin your car around and try to hit the Z on the *back* of the robot's left wrist -- that's 100,000 points.

The top of the volcano is worth 100,000 points and it will erupt when you hit it.

In the battery room, try to hit the batteries on the bottom -- they'll fall over when you do, and some are worth 50,000 points. Also aim for the tiny batteries -- the smaller they are, the more points they're worth.

Also, after the robot, on your left there will be some creatures on the wall -- the spider is worth 50,000 points.

If you hit the moving wormlike creature that sways left to right that's on your right in the next room, it's worth at least 50,000 points.

It turns out if you hold the trigger of your laser down, you'll occasionally get 1,000 points even if you don't hit anything. When you're going through the red spiral light room, hold your thumb down for a few extra points.

In the room after that, the one with the animated rockets, follow the spaceships until they pause and aim for the Z on them -- if you look closely, you'll see a metal plate on the wall (there's one on each side) under the animation. Hitting those scores 100,000 points, too.
