arrival at the port

we have booked with virgin ( via Thomson ) and believe transfers are included from Port Orleans to Port carnaveral , what time do they arrive and is there any mileage in arranging our own transfer to get there earlier

Can't help as to what time Virgin arrange their transfers I'm afraid, but DCL don't normally start boarding until 11.45 or so. The port doesn't open until about 10 am, so no point getting there much earlier :)

We got there at around 10.30am and boarding started at 11.55am so it was perfect for us. However there were still people boarding up until 3pm so don't worry about the timings. The DCL bus will probably get you there around lunchtime so you could drive up yourselves if you want to be there earlier, don't forget that the self parking will charge you $12 per day though. If you don't have a car it could be costly to arrange your own transfers and wouldn't really gain you much IMO.
