I was just wondering who's done this show & what your thoughts were? Also there are several ticket prices - we couldn't afford the most expensive, so what are the cheaper ones like, do you still get a good seat?
We'd probably do the 9pm show.
Went to see 'Knocked Up' at the cinema yesterday & they went to see Cirque du Soleil in Vegas, so it got me thinking about this show!!!!
Firstly there are NO bad seats for this show, so don't feel the need to get the most expensive ones. If you book via the Cirque site you can see and pick the exact seats you want.
I enjoyed the skills of the fantastic performers in this show and did enjoy it to a degree. However, the semi-operatic warbling, posing and arty-farty stuff left me confused and unimpressed!
Many people here think it's the best thing in Orlando and I know I'm in the minority though.
Next trip I am going to book it for my sister and family, I will try it again and see if I feel the same

Thanks Sue - good to know about the seats! I'm really not sure what the show entails...I'll have a search in a few minutes to see what I can find online...are there lots of acrobatics?? We were thinking of doing the pirates dinner show, so if funds allow maybe we'll do this too, if not just Cirque Du Soleil...but hopefully both!

Been twice now, cheap seats and dear seats.
In my opinion there was no differnece apart from sitting towards the side with cheaper seats.
Amazing show from any angle.

Fabulous show - amazing. Going to see it again next year. Don't get seats too close to the front as you will miss a lot of the aerial show due to neck ache! :pd

Went to the show in June and would agree with everyone else - you will have a good view regardless of where you sit (as long as it's not too near the front). We were shown to the wrong seats and when the actual occupants of those seats turned up, we were moved. Did notice that the more expensive seats were wider, but don't know that they were worth the extra expense as the view wasn't any better than our cheaper seats.
Didn't know what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed it. Came away thinking it was a home for retired gymnastists - just wish I was as fit as them!

We saw the show last month and it was excellant. We booked at the box office and got great tickets for that nights performance. They were the cheapest seats but we had a great view. The show kept my 7 and 15 year olds silent for 90 minutes... which is a first. We would highly recommend the show.

Went to see this last week but didn't tell DH and DDs until we got there cos I knew they would pull a face and not want to go. Before we went in DDs kept saying "we don't like clowns" and I know DH doesn't like arty stuff so I was dreading it, not really knowing what to expect.
Well they all loved it - DDs said the clowns were the best bit and DH stood up to applaud at the end - in fact most of the audience did. Don't know if that happens every night!
I would agree with everyone else about the seats - there are no bad ones.

I've been wanting to go since getting my first taste of Disney in 2001, and this time I've told DS we're going, regardless, he's not keen at all. Will it be as entertaining for a 12 year old?

We saw the show a couple of weeks ago, it was incredible. There are no bad seats in the theatre. It was an amazing evening. Got the Cirque du soleil bug now so going to see some of their shows in Vegas next year.

I've been about 5 times now - it's wonderful, and nearly every seat is a great seat (they are just different - like being in the front rows lets you see up close on the stage, but not quite as well higher up). No matter what, you get a great view of something!

Worth every penny, great show, best seats are to sit facing straight ahead, we sat on the side the first time and didnt see as much.

My son is 15 and he loved it. There are a couple of guys on BMX's who do some great stuff which he found very cool. My daughter is 7 and she was equally entertained. Tell him about the bikes and that might sway him a bit. I am sure he will love it.

We have done La Nouba twice now, plus Alegria at the Royal Albert Hall. I have got tickets for the new show Varekai at the Royal Albert Hall for January, but haven't told the family yet as I want it to be a surprise for them. We also have a set of DVDs of various shows - can you tell we love CdS?
Citywalk,
As others have said pretty much every seat has a great view. The seats you have selected are very central and very close to the stage. You will have a great view. (We sat in Section 102 G 1&2 last year, the other side of the section you are in) and the view from there was great.)
The only downside is that for some of the aerial stuff you will spend some time looking up at a greater angle than if you were further back. Personally I prefer to be closer and don't mind this, but others disagree.

SamsCalling we have been to see La Nouba twice and it is a 'must do' for every trip now. The show is amazing and well worth the money, we loved it so much we went to see the one in London last year and are booking to see them in Manchester and London for this/next year.
If you have any other questions or want more info. on the show, tickets, seats etc let me know :d:

If your not going to be put of by freeky Chinese girls who are really too good at what they do, while being really quite young, you will love it. We went in January, and now have started to get the DVD. Going to see some of the Vegas shows in November and have tickets for the royal albert hall in Jan.
It really is a good night out. Lots of people seem to dress up for the whole thing, but we went in shorts & t-shirts...

to get better seats. buy direct with cirque and hit the back button then reorder until you get the seats you want.
we did this and have two seats across the aisle from the top price seats but paid less!

It's a long story, but basically I think I'm gonna have too much uni work to do...when I started working over this summer, I thought I'd be able to do 'extra' to make up for the 2 weeks in Florida - but now I've got into it...I just don't think I can. I'm stressed enough now (I am a stresser by nature!!!) so I just don't want to spend the weeks leading up to the holiday panicking about what I have/haven't got done - then while I'm there, what I need to do when I get back! But we're DEFINITELY going in 2009. Although I am sad it's a year later, I feel so much better about it already, so I know it's the right decision!
However....you know what this means...you're just gonna have to go in 2009 too! :d:

He he...Sounds like a plan to me!! Its another one of those great 'excuses' to go back again..."but we have to go back, Sam's going to be there"
It is a shame you wont be going but I totally understand. You want to be able to enjoy not just the holiday but the planning as well and if you have soooo much work to do you just wont be able to. At least you'll have it to look froward to once you've graduated :) . And this way you'll have longer to save too...which is always a good thing!
You should still plan a mini-break for your May break though so you have something to look forward to and some time to step away from your work and refresh yourself and your brain...as you said before you will probably need it (you'll certainly deserve it :) ). DLP is always a good option....
