Hey Ste, cant believe you wanna swim with the sharks especially after watching the Jaws films, are you mad? Although I wanted to do it last year, remember? But I chickened out when DH said he would nick my finger slightly before I went in- to enhance my experience he said.
I dont want to put a dampner on things guys but when you do the swim thing with sharks at TL you will never ever get close to one of them as there is a sheet of glass/plastic between you and them, you can just about spot it when you go in the underwater viewing area.

Hate to tell you but there is nothing between you and the sharks in Typhoon Lagoon. They are free to swim around. Having done SAS twice at TL I can state that the sharks will come as close as they want to.

This year I'm doing Divequest at Epcot. you get to dive in the Living Seas at Epcot if you are a qualified diver. The Florida Aquarium over in Tampa also do a controlled dive in their shark tank.
I actually qualified as a scuba diver so that I could go cage diving with Great Whites in South Africa, hopefully going to fullfil that ambition next year.
Have dived with reef sharks in the red sea and on the barrier reef, was wonderful and only slightly scary when they disapeered from sight BUT you knew they could see you !!
A very large shark swam between my dad and brother on St.Petes beach about 5 years ago, never seen either of them move so fast...ha ha.

I'm doing the shark dive at sea world in December and believe me it's not that dear. I did one at Chester (Blue Planet Aquarium) which was almost £200. This was £86 after conversion and you get a free t shirt. Cant wait...
