View Full Version : Easter madness at wdw
Any tips?
We're off to The Yacht club during the easter hols 08. Yes I know it's packed but us teachers can't take time out during the term, although we'd like too!!!
Any tips on how to avoid q's? good days to vist things / quietest times of day at different parks?
Quietest meet and greet with charcters?
Children will be 4mths, 2yrs, 3 1/2 yrs and 5 yrs? All girls!
Want to swim watch shows and meet charcters mainly!
Is there anything Mary Poppins 5yr old is mad on her?

Have never been at that time of year so sorry can't advise on that but we did see Mary Poppins at MK. She just appeared after we had come out of the place where you get your photo taken with the various princesses and there was no queue at all to have a pic with her - DD(6) was delighted.

We saw Mary Poppins in the UK toy shop at Epcot. Sorry I can't help with Easter, we've never been then!
Hopefully we'll see Mary poppins my little girl thinks that's the whole reason for going!!!

We saw Mary Poppins at Epcot, in the UK shop, she was also in the parade at MGM:

We were there at Easter this year. Avoid the main parks on Easter weekend itself - that was by far the busiest time (though AK wasn't too bad - I think everyone was at MK!) There's nothing very Easter-y in the parks anyway, but a lot of hotels do activities for the kids, so have a pool day then! The traffic was noticibly heavier for just that weekend too. After Easter Monday though, a lot of the Americans were back at work so it got better.

Hi there, I am a Teaching Assistant so we are tied to school hols too. We went at Easter in 2006, it was really busy but we managed ok by getting up really early and arriving at parks when they opened. We went to Universal Studios on Easter Sunday and rode the Mummy ride about 8 times in a row,no queue, Men In Black several times too, and then some other rides, all before it got busy.
We are going again at Easter next year,so it can't have put us off too much - we will have to stick to the same strategy though.
Saw Mary Poppins at Epcot, just outside the gates one evening.

My little girl just walked past the computer to the bathroom and her eyes nearly popped out at the sight of mary poppins and bert!!! Thank you!
Think we will stay at the pool most of Easter weekend as people say the pool at the yacht club is fab part of the reason we booked there!! :d:
if you re not bothered about seeing the parades, try to go to character greetings so you are at the front of the queue when the parade finishes (you can't meet the characters during the parade cos they can't be in 2 places at once!!), especially for the princesses at mk as they tend to have the biggest queue
Easter is a great time to go! Yes, it is crowded but, thanks to the UK holidays this year, you should hit the quiet time plus the weather will be perfect. Have you been before? If not, the DIBB will give you loads of tips...just ask!
