Hiya

Was thinking of some of the things that have long gone and wondered what if any one had ones they either loved or loathed that are no longer......

A couple i can think of are.....

Bodyworks - Epcot - i liked this but i know many of you didnt!!!! :confused2 probably one of the first simulators i ever went on

Terror on Church Street - Church Street Station - i went through this once and hated it lol, scared me to death!!!!

Simulator - Busch Gardens - Think i went here about 96' have no idea what it was called but it was wicked, sadly no longer here... Anyone know its name?

Abercombie & Fitch - Point Orlando, i loved this particular branch i know i had to get shopping in there somewhere

Any others????

I miss the old Belz stores, before Premium outlets came along it was THE place to go shopping. I know it's reopening but it will be different, no coffee and donut for a dollar while my little girl rides the carousel.

There used to be "Akbars adventure tours" which was a movie theatre with moving seats. That was great but it used to break down a lot! :(
Thats probably why they got rid of it!

I miss the MK skyway, 20000 leagues, the old Hanna Barbara ride in US, Alien Encounter, the old and quiet 192 (BEFORE it became a triple lane freeway ) and the Mercado when it used to be a great night out!

I'm still hoping they will do the tapestry of nations parade again at Epcot sometime in the future, if only for a few months!

Gutted I never did River Country before it shut (anyone know if the remains of it are still there hidden away or was it totally flattened?)

Alien Encounter... we loved it the first time and it was my mum's first 'ride experience'. We spent ages convincing my BF at the time that it was great but when we went back to go on it, it had gone :(

That Alien Encounter frightened the life out of me!!! Even now, sitting in the Stitch ride, I'm frightened Disney are playing some evil trick and that horrid Alien is going to appear again :d:

I loved body wars, and yep,as many others have said Race Rock. How i miss their milkshakes :(

The only one i think has closed while we've been visiting is BACK TO THE FUTURE. I am sad about this, made worse as I heard they are replacing it with a Simpsons ride. I can't bear the Simpsons.

I really miss FAO Schwartz. Loved having a look round but never bought anything. It was much too expensive. If that's what everyone was doing it would explain why it closed down.

I loved River Country - much smaller than the other two water parks but it had a great zip wire ride. I often wonder if it's still there somewhere...bit spooky :confused2

River Country can still be seen - I posted a thread about this a couple of weeks back... Apparently you can see it when catching a ferry from one of the hotels near MK - you can also see it on Google Earth. The lose of 20,000 leagues is still a sore point with me

That strange white igloo House of the Future on 192; Hanna Barbara/Barbera at US; Casio outlet stores; Cypress Gardens again; Splendid China (because I never went there when it was open); Body Wars and BTTF

The 'House of the Future'... I remember seeing this on the 192 - never did go to it though, used to drive past it every day back in '97 - it was looking really shabby and run down :(

Kongfrontation (remember the bananas?) and Alien Encounter at MK, far far superior to the new Stitch version!!! quite scary in fact!!!

We did Stitch this year - such a let down - It was soooo scary the first time, and still as scary the second, third, fourth time... The only ride that was scarier was Tower of Terror, maybe they should have moved it to MGM to be with ToT??? (not for my 6 yr old though :) she loved it)

Skull Kingdom's gone.

The castle's still on I Drive (or was in April / May this year) Hope someon buys it and reopens!!

One thing I wont miss is the Wand over Spaceship Earth - time to leave the 'Golf ball' in all it's glory I hope...

Race Rock has to chart at No.1 for us, it was a family tradition to have our first holiday meal at Race Rock each year...... not sure what we going to do next year :(

Also miss Kongfrontation, we only managed to catch it on our first trip back in 2001 and by the time we went back it was gone :(

The Timekeeper and Tapestry of Nations, Epcot really needs a parade, surprised it wasn't revived for the anniversary. See it here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=h0C4w9MaVCk

The Mercado on I. Drive when all the shops were full and you could sit outside at night listening to Rick. They have started to pull it down.

For anyone staying near the Pointe, they are closing Walgreens this month.

Have to agree with this, we've spent many a night here with different members of the family and friends over the years. Wonder what Rick's doing now? Also really going to miss the Belz, it was still open last time I went, only some of the shops still open though. :( :(

The Titanic exhibition at the Mercardo was shut when we went in September this year. This was one of my favourite non-park things to do, and I was hoping that it would escape closure, as it had moved position and was located where the Guiness World Records attraction used to be. But alas - when we got there this year it was closed down
