Hi guys right ive decided due to some serious selling on ebay i will buy all the family there park tickets..

Mum, eldest sis, hubby, myself, younger sis 17, nephew 16, nephew 12, Nephew 10, Niece 5 and Baby Niece 13 months (no ticket needed) thats 8 x adult tickets and 1 child..

We have been to orlando once before.. This was minus mum, younger sis17 and baby niece.
At that time we did Disney (Each park once)

I dont know whether to get Disney tickets again as mum wont go on any fast/serious/scary rides Which i prussume there will be at Universal nore will baby.

I really dont know what to do?? We are also going over christmas and new year (13th dec - 3 jan) so we know it will be busy and may effect are time in the parks...

Should we just do Disney again and skip Universal??

Suggestions Suggestions.. Please... Thanks. :o:

we paid for all our tickets through ebay too!

i wouldn't through US out of the window just yet as its more islands of adventure which has the rides, i hate coasters and think the studios side is great with the twister and quake simulator, the music and the film bits. but there is no way i could go and not do disney either. however if you're there for xmas and new year do prepare for it to get a bit busy

:wavey: Hi there

I had similar dilemma last year. It was our non Disney year - we bought flex tickets - which we thoroughly enjoyed- but I really wanted to have a Disney fix. Ended up paying for one day disney which cost us a small fortune (and also MNSSHP, another small fortune). We did non Disney year over xmas 03/4 with flex tickets and loved it loads! If you get to the park on opening (which was 8am at the time) you could get loads done before lunch. Well packed at parks mind! Be prepared!

Suppose comes down to how much you want to spend. There are attractions for all ages in all of the parks. Have a lovely time - whatever you choose! :wavey:

From our experience in Xmas 2003, Disney and Universal should be OK until 22nd December, then hordes will descend for the Xmas period. I would do the parks until then and thereafter do other things instead.

Yes.. I think we may just go For Disney tickets again...
Least we have an excuse to go back again after that to try Universal.. Although the tickets are cheaper and with the flex ticket you get to go to seaworld. (Never been there either)

Would you go to see world and/or wet n wild? If so you could consider the flex ticket! We're only getting a 4 day disney ticket for May, 4 days at the parks then 1 disney waterpark, then the rest of the days will be spent at IOA, Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Wet n Wild & Aquatica - it's cheaper to get tickets for all of those parks, unlimited for 14 days, than the disney passes! Disney is expensive if you only go for a few days...for like 3 dollars extra, you can go for 5 days, a few more for 6, etc. I'd say if you like sea world & universal, see about the flexticket, if not, you'll no doubt have a fab time at Disney!

If your mum wont ride them and baby cant surely there is your answer mum looks after baby while you all ride 'em

I would definitely do Disney and maybe add Seaworld or Universal as well.

You can get 7 days at universal for $87 - that's a real bargain. Not much more than a 1 day ticket and you are getting entrance for a whole week - even if you only go twice, it's a good deal.

There are lots of options for tickets - you could get say 10 day MYW tickets with no hopping rather than 14 day unlimited.
10 day base tickets are $239.63 (£120).

(there isn't much point in getting less than the 10 day as you only save a v. few dollars)

Compared to the price of the 14 day ultimate, that would save you nearly enough to buy the $87 tickets for universal.

Princie yes mum would look after Chyanne but only problem is that will be a lot of waiting around on mum.. its ok for a few rides but surely Disney would have more we could ALL do..

Samscalling: Yes we would love to do seaworld... 3 weeks is a lot of time to fill.. and we have never been before... We haven;t booked anything but the essentials for this trip yet, no meals shows nothing so i need to pull my socks up and get to it.. ;)

Oh Bev that sounds a good idea.. But ideally i would like to have tickets that cover the whole stay so we could pop down with the kids for a few hours especially for new years and it would be so spread out i dont think that would work...
Maybe i will just have to buy both? can you get 21 day universal tickets???

Donna- there is LOADS that your mum and baby can do in Disney - not so much in Universal but there is still some, but definitely in Disney there are loads.

Universal don't do a 21 days pass - even the flex ticket is only for 14 days but they do do an Annual Power Pass for $130, however I am not sure what your dates are as it is blacked out for use between christmas and New Year.

There is an Annual pass with no blackout dates which is $189. It's actually good for TWO YEARS from Sept 2007-Sept 2009, so if you are lucky you could get 2 trips in.

Saying that, it would be cheaper to buy 2, 7 days passes to Universal at $87 each and have say day 4 to day 11 with Univ passes and then a break and then Day 14 to day 21 with Univ again. Unless you can swing a 2nd trip inside 2 years.

I doubt we would all go back untill 2009 now..
To much going on with everyone. But me and hubby will most definatly go back next year for a couple of weeks.

I think i will get the 21 day ultimate Disney pass.. than if we can all come up with a bit more than maybe we can get Universal tickets than... I Think i will miss Disney if i DONT go... Thanks Everyone..

sounds like a plan - i could go and just do Disney, but there is no way I could go and NOT do Disney at all.

Don't miss Seaworld or IAO or Universal. They are all brilliant and spend some time there.

Have you looked at the Freedom tickets - I read about it on another thread & it sounds like it may an option?

the freedom ticket, is just a 14 day Disney tickey, and a 14 day flex ticket sold in a bundle. At £283 I think it's quite pricey unless you are definitely going to get full use out of it.

I was just about to suggest that ticket too although I've just worked out that I've paid £285 for the 5 park flex ticket and a 14 day ultimate ticket per adult so it may be cheaper to buy them separately waiting for the deals like I did ;)
