Famous faces in the parks?? who have you seen?

Just watched jaws 3 which is set in seaworld (supposed to be anyway) and it got me thinking who has bumped into anyone famous at any of the parks? Surely somebody out there must have, closest I have come to being star struck was meeting nicholas cage at the foyer in the radisson in manchester the day before we went to florida.

In 1998 we queued with Jonathan Ross for some while at Seaworld in the drizzle while Journey to Atlantis was being repaired. It was a Saturday morning and I remember telling him 'it could be worse, we could be at home listening to that bloke on Radio 2 ' which embarassed the 2 dds very much. He is obviously a regular to Orlando!!

At Typhoon Lagoon i bumped into Dick Van Patton Disney actor huge in the States not very well known here. Also bumped into Peter Osgood ( Chelsea FC ) R.I.P at the Grosvenor Resort in 1991, he was such a nice guy and i have supported Chelsea since i was a small boy so that was really cool.

We met Michaela Strachan in sea world and she kindly had a picture with my daughters. She was filming a programme with a family who were visiting Florida with a special needs child. She was lovely.

I saw Alison from Big brother/ This morning last year at AK. She was filming and I got in the way of her shot causing her to have to do a retake - she was really nice though.

Met Slyvester Stalone and Steven Segal.......talk about little and large, I was a bit star struck when I shook hands with Rocky!! Plus saw a whole host of other celebs incl Jean Caue Van Damme when I lived in Hong Kong.

Bernard Hill lives in Southwold, just up the coast from me :)
His son plays football for the local team, and my son plays against him! He is usually always on the sidelines cheering his son on. Lovely man.

We saw Brooke Hogan (Hulk Hogan's daughter) in Frontierland two weeks ago. She is quite big in the states as the Hogan's have a show - Hogan knows best.
She was lovely and quite big (tall not obese) like her dad.

I saw Jonathan Ross pushing a pushchair with his wife and children in Animal Kingdom Lodge last year (he obviously loves being at Disneyworld as much as we all do - judging by the previous posts!)

I shouted 'ROSSY!!!' over to him and he smiled that cheeky smile and waved over to us. Sometimes you never know whether you should say something or not - they want a holiday as well!

He took it all in good fun though.

My wife wasn't too impressed though when I shouted 'ROSSY' in every other park we went to as though I had seen him again!!! ;)

We were in New York last weekend and saw Robin Williams outside our hotel. He had great big smile on his face as two tramps had spotted him and were shouting "It's Mork from Ork".

We saw `Will` from will and grace 2 weeks ago. He had his son with him and i smiled at him and had my birthday badge on and he said "hey happy birthday to you", I was stunned and managed to garble a thank you. It really helped make my day. He is gorgeous by the way :tounge:
AND.... well dh says it wasn`t but I`m sure i saw Steven Spielberg in Universal on the HHN. He is unmistakeable IMO! But who knows it may not have been. :d:

Not Disney but wanted to share my brush with fame...

I was in the queue for Star Wars at the Odeon Leicester Square (re-released not original showing...) and saw Craig McLachlan (Henry in Neighbours) walking by - think he was in his singing career by now... I couldn't hold back and shouted out "OI 'ENRY". Unfortunately and predictably he didn't acknowledge my heartfelt greeting and continued on his way, however EVERYONE else in the queue did - several hundred people turned to stare at me!! Needless to say I got a wallop from my other half and my best mates other half as well for my troubles... :blush:

Would I do it again - yep... :d:

It was only when another person mentioned who it was when he had gone back inside that she realised.

We didnt see anyone famous, but a few years ago when we were in a restaurant in Liberty Square, the waiter opened a side door so my Mum wouldnt have to get out her wheelchair. He said that they dont normally let anyone use that door. The last person it was opened for was George Lucas!!

A few years ago we saw Father Christmas in EPCOT.

I kid you not. It was June, and this guy, a tall chap, round belly, white hair and beard, wearing braces on top of his shirt, was sitting on a bench somewhere round the world showcase.

It was Father Christmas on holiday, and loads of kids were going up to him to see if he was real, and asking him to sign their autograph books.

I couldnt stop looking at him either, it was really strange. (he wasnt a cast member) :spin:

On my first visit to WDW, a very long time ago we saw Timothy Spall (of Auf Wiedersehn Pet fame and more recently Harry Potter) queueing for the MK ferry, I think we just missed out on getting on the same one as him.

We did the Undiscovered Future World Tour of Epcot last trip and one of the perks of doing that tour is entry to the VIP viewing area for Illuminations that night (or another by arrangement) - on the night we went, Ray Liotta was in there - he was a nice unassuming guy but very short!!! And he did have that Goodfellas stare as well!!!
