Has anyone done this, how was it? Not seen the show yet so thought it would be good to do on my mum's bday. What number do we have to ring to reserve? Hopefully we're not too late!

If i'm honest i doubt you would get one now.

You can do it at Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose or The Brown Derby.
You pay for the package which gives you dinner and a ticket to go in a seperate entrance to Fantasmic. It also allows you to get there around 30 mins before the show rather than queuing for an hour.

We have done it before in August and it worked well as the park was packed. We didn't do it last Sept and had no trouble getting a seat 20-30 mins before the show through the normal entrance.

We aren't going to bother this Sept either as we found it wasn't really necessary.

You need to phone 001-407-939-3463 and make sure you ask for the Fantamic Dinner Package.
If you dial 0844-861-8686 first you will get a cheap rate for the call.

Good luck, hope you get it. :thumbs-up

By the way, even if you can't get the package, make sure you see the show, its a must do!!

I disagree about not getting a package now. ON our 2nd visit to WDW we got a fantasmic package by booking in the park for the same day & that was in August. So i would ring them & try.

We went again this year & ate at Hollywood & Vine which is a buffet & had a great meal.

We've done H&V fantasmic package in Feb....it was ok but not really recessary for the seating really (Feb isn't peak but neither is Sept so you should be fine for the show anyway).

Also been to the Brown Derby.....highly recommended...great food.

Leanne has mentioned the tel number and we still saw some availability in the box office (in park) late August. ;)

Another thing to consider is the weather forecast ....what if you get really bad late day storms ..... you can't carry forward your special entance tix to the next day .....just a thought. :erm:

We did the package on Xmas Eve and the meal at H&V was poor compared to the other time we had been and then Fantasmic itself got rained off

I'll be booking it again for next year as we have done the package in late September before and the stadium was packed to bursting when we arrived 25 minutes before the show!

Call 001 707 WDW DINE to book it, it is def working trying to get it. WE have done H&V and Hollywood BD, we really enjoyed HBD, excellent food and great not having to join the big queue for the show.

The package does not cost you any more than the price of the meal at whatever place you decide to go. We went to Hollywood & Vine and it was a set price , adults price and a kids price. It was a buffet with loads of choice.

We booked for the first time this year for the Hollywood and Vine fantasmic package, and tbh I was a little disappointed with the meal I thought the sauces were a bit rich and not much choice for my ds either :omg: but saying that my dh said he quite liked it so each to there own I guess ;) and after waiting for an hour to get into the stadium it was announced the show was cancelled as it was pouring down :omg: we were drenched waiting to get in!!! :(

Fantasmic is one of our favourite shows combined with fireworks and lights at the end of a great day at MGM. Seating is in a huge stadium of metal benches (a bit tough on even the most padded of backsides if you choose to bag a decent seat a long time before the show starts - around 9pm).

Plus queues get big and sometimes the stadium is full to capacity.

However, if you book a 'Fantasmic Package' which is simply a meal earlier in the day at an allotted time then your server will give you green tix to allow you entrance much closer to show time via the garage 'back' entrance and you'll get reserved seating at the far right.

It is worth it because TBH for the amount you pay for fast food at luchtime you might as well eat in H&V/HBD/MM and get a decent meal with the bonus of these back entrance tix. ;)

Prices vary according to location ...have a look at the menus and see what you think. :wavey:

Hi Again.
Thanks for your help Welshwiz.
I have done some more research into this now.
I have found out that there are lots of Dark/Villans included in this show.
Would you think this would scaremy DD (6) DS (11) will be ok. But would hate for DD to be frightened. Has anyone taken anyone younger into the show and they have been ok.
If i was to book this is it the standard 180 days before??

Thanks.
(sorry i expect there will be more questions later)

I'm sure you will be able to book, we have the Brown Derby booked for October, when we went last year we booked Mama Melrose, that was very nice, so we are expecting great things from the menu at BD.

The show was fantastic and I'm so glad we didn't have to wait an hour to see the show. Most people have to get there early so they get good seats, but if you book the package you go through a back entrance and get taken to your seats about 15 mins before the show begins. It can be a long wait especially when you have children with you.

We did the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic package this year for the first time and I wasn't keen on the food but my dh and ds seemed to enjoy there's (each to there own i suppose) ;) we were then looking forward to Fantasmic, :d: but it got rained off after standing in the rain for over half an hour :( but we have seen it a few times before and it is really worth doing even if you can't get the dinner package  :d:

We did the H&V package this year and didn't enjoy it to de honest. I'd go as far as to say it was one of the worst ADR's we made. :(
My DS's went up first for food and DS 17 came back with a bread roll on his plate and said "It's C**p ".
Sent him back with a flea in his ear and told him to look properly but had to agree with him TBH.
