Can anyone help?
I have some old Universal Tickets and am wondering if they will still be valid
I have 2 from Nov 2001, 3 day 2park- now I think we have used 1 day of these if not 2
I also have from August 2002, 2 x5 day 2 park tickets which I am fairly sure have never been used.
Does anyone know if these will still work or how I can find out?
Thanks
We were in a similar position a couple of years ago. Had 3 day 2 park tickets (4 of them) and were not sure what (if anything) was left on them. We just took them to Guest Relations and they told us what was left. We actually upgraded them for 2 Annual Passes, which also gave us 2 years for the price of 1.
Dont they expire after 14 days??? We have some that were only used once but i assumed they wouldve expired

when we were there in march 05 I am sure we had 3 day 2 park tickets and something tells me at the time of buying these I was under the impression that they never expired, however I dont think these tickets are sold anymore and a lot of people (when i asked the quesion) earlier this year seemed to think they expired 14 days after first use like the ones sold now, but at the back of my mind im quite sure the ones we bought in 2005 were non expiring, (could be wrong) though not often,,, hmmm ;)

Thanks for your thoughs, I thought the same Scottishmum. If I remember rightly the 5 days ones expire 5 days after you use them but that they had no expirey untill you used them first-know what I mean??
I'm confusing myself now!
I can't find an email address to email universal does anyone have one?
Thanks to everyone for there thoughs
Here you go: guestservices@universalorlando.com
They will need a copy of the tickets though so if you could scan the back of the tickets and put it in the email attachement, they can probably let you know.
Many of the tickets sold over a year ago had no expiration but most sold today do unless they haven't been used at all. The only way to know for sure is to email guest services or wait until you get to the parks.

The 7 day tickets were the old "Stay and Play" tickets. They expire 7 days after the first day of use.
The tickets with no expiration were the old 2 and 3 day tickets. The old tickets that say 2 days with the 3rd day free also expired if any days have been used.

Wasnt planning on going to US or IOA this time anyway....but mightve had a look in past to see if anything was left on the tickets for next year, but wont need to bother now!
Wonder why one set has expiry on and the other set hasnt though?

The 5 day, 7 day, and 2 days plus 3rd day free are all highly discounted tickets. They usually cost less than the price of a 2 day ticket. All of the discounted tickets have restrictions.

Hi,
We originally bought 3 day 2 park tickets in 2001 and only used a day on them! When we bought them we were told they did not expire! The new tickets expire a certain amount of days after first used (unless you pay extra for no expiration).
Anyway I emailed to check if the tickets would still work in the machines or would we have to go to guest services to get new ones... after emailing them a pic with all the details and initially being told they were not sure and check when we arrive, someone else emailed me back and told us there were two days left on each ticket and even the last time we used them in 2001! So I think the older tickets will still be valid but unfortunately I don't know when the new system came with expiry-we had a gap of 5 years till we could make it back to Disney! (bloody buying a house!) Hope this helps! :d:

No i dont think they do, like i said before Im sure when i bought the old ones in 2005 they were 3 day 2 park tickets and they were non expiring unless u used your 3 days up, I beleive these tickets have been replaced now but you should still be able to use them if you have any days left. :d:
I know for a fact that the old 3 day tickets do not expire unless they say 2 days/3rd day free.
I am afraid they definately expire 14 days after use
Welcome to the DIBB!
But Anna really does know best as she works there ;).

yes i agree anna, my 3 day tickets were paid for as 3 day tickets not 2 days and 3rd day free. They were bought in 2005 however, there was 2 sorts of universal like mine one was 2 day 2 park tickets and mines was 3 day 2 park tickets, only covering universal and nothing else.

I've now emailed copies of them to universal and will see what they say.
Thanks for all the comments, I'll let you know the reply
:)
There were only a few types of old tickets that had expirations. The ones that expired were: Flex-tickets, Stay and Play (7 day), Bonus tickets (5 day), Star and Adventurer (2 day ONE park tickets), and Silver Star (3 day/2 park), and 2 day/with 3rd day free.
Star, Adventurer, and Silver Star are tickets given by Time Shares and are not sold in the parks. They are discounted tickets.
The tickets that did had no expiration were 2day/2 park tickets and 3 day/2 park tickets. These tickets weren't discounted like all the tickets listed above and thus did not expire.
About a year ago, all of Universal tickets sold began having an expiration unless you purchased the no expiration option. But if you purchased 3 day tickets in 2006 or earlier, the chances are very likely that your tickets don't have an expiration.

Hi
Just received a reply from Universal and as indicated by Anna, the tickets I have have no expirey on them, so can be exchanged for updated tickets when we go. So I have just gained 2 x 5 day tickets for universal and 2 x 1 day
Thanks to everyone for there thoughts
Glad it worked out for you. If they have barcodes on them, you can most likely just use them without exchanging them. If they have a magnetic strip rather than a barcode, you will need to exchange them at Guest Services at either park.
can anyone help?
I bought tickets online direct with universal and picked them up at the machine at the park in January 2006.
The offer at that time was buy an adult ticket and get one free.
I bought 3 adult tickets and had 3 free. They were 2 park tickets lasting for 5 days. It says on the back expires 14 days after first use.
I did not use three of the adult (free tickets), therefore I want to know if I will be able to use these this year, in 2 weeks time.
Do you think they would be linked in any way to the date of use of the other tickets, because they were free? They have different serial numbers on the back but the same barcode?
GS would not tell me over the phone, said I needed to wait until I got to the park.
As long as you haven't used any days on the tickets they will be fine. It doesn't matter if you used the other tickets earlier.
