We'll be in Orlando over Christmas staying in a villa and we plan to stay in on Christmas Day. DH is insisting on making a full turkey dinner and wants to make his famous (in our family anyway) sausagemeat stuffing.

Now I've seen what the Americans pass off as sausages over there and my question is - does anyone know if you can get 'proper' sausagemeat in Orlando?

Haven't seen sausage meat but you could split open sausages.

Why don't you just take a pack of Paxo?

I wonder if Walmart or Publix do English sausages in their "overseas" sections - never noticed them to be honest.

As an aside my friend used to love their Stovetop stuffing mix and I used to have to bring umpteen packs back. I used to take it out of the box and leave it in the white packet from inside - it used to look decidedly dodgy and I was always a bit worried about getting a drugs pull !!!! :d:

Hope you find your dogs!

[COLOR="Red"]maybe by sausage patties and make it out of that. or as above, buy large sausage and skin them. Or go for the american bit and have corn bread stuffing. also look at the american shops which specialise in english goods such as londonpride.com
they do all sorts of english things and deliver into orlando, know they do sage and onion stuffing paxo mix but not sure about sausage releted things, might be worth a try. GOOD LUCK

we used this and split open sausages,Lovely,Kraft Foods, which now owns the Stove Top brand, sells about 60 million boxes each year around Thanksgiving. The five-minute stuffing comes in several flavors, including turkey, chicken and beef.

Thanks for all the help - I will hopefully be able to get something sorted. As a last resort we'll make sage and onion stuffing or if DH is that bothered he can take us out for Christmas Dinner :pgig:
