Hiya

Just wondered where was the worst place you ate for whatever reason, food, service, etc

Ours was without a doubt JOHNNY ROCKETS in Mall of Millenia. I can still not understand how a burger, hotdog and fries could be soooo GROSS and be so wrong YUCK!!!!!

I cannot remember the name of it, think it has been closed now. Up near wet n wild but on the opposite side of the road. Think it was western steer or something like that. was a buffet and oh my god it was awful. Cold food, stodgy and to top it off my boyfrind took a mouthful of potatoe salad and it was gone off. We left sharpish!!

Most definately The Waffle House next to the big Florida Orange building. :erm:

Service was shocking, shouting at customers, discussing tips loudly amongst themselves, bad attitudes. The food was ok but nothing special.
It was a horrible experience that we won't be repeating.

Just got back this morning and it has to be Crystal Palace in MK.

Waited 45 mins passed our ADR time to be seated. 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, food nothing to get excited about and never saw all the characters in the time we were there. Have been there twice before and have always thought it was 'average' but good for the kids. It was chaos. I complained to the two managers - hopefully things will improve.

Had a chinese buffet at China Garden on the 192 - the place was dirty and I could barely look at the food in the servery. I couldn't wait to leave.

Yacht Club Galley on our last trip and on the DDP - gloopy clam chowder, liquid cauliflower mash, undercooked pork!!! and a very gristly steak - they refunded us the meal!

Boma the first, Boma the second time and Raglan Rd. In fact when we were discussing DRs today ds begged me not to bring him to RR - no chance anyway. I think they are the only two restaurants I would not go back to.

TGI Fridays - so disappointing! I always wanted to try it thinking it would be like Frankie & Bennys and the interior was. The staff were really friendly but the food was awful!!

We did get 50% off as I complained the steaks were cooked wrong, the chips were cold and they missed the vegetables altogether!!!
We won't be rushing back there!!

Another Vote for Sci-Fi....

Server was a miserable so and so and turned from miserable to Rude when he mistakenly thought we were leaving without tipping him. Could not believe I was in a Disney Establishment. That aside the food was average and we have not returned since and dont plan to either.

We had another bad experience in Planet Hollywood about 10 years ago and have not been since....Although i may give that a second chance and do lunch there next time....It was not the food, which whilst nothing special was pretty good, or the server in the sense that she was extremely polite...the experience was spoiled by the fact they could not get us out the door quick enough....as they had a line outside and we had paid for Express Seating it was a case of rushing us through our courses and showing us the door....without much tact!

Only other one was we ate at a Macdonlads on the way to A market somehwere once...cannot remember where but it was the dirtiest and dingiest macdonalds you will ever come across....I said to my wife....we have been in the worlds largest micky D's now the worlds dirtiest :confused2

The staff where all like high school kids and had not got a clue...One came out from behind the kitchen area and sat on the table outside in plain view and smoked a cigarette then walked straight back behind the counter and started handling the food. The lad on the till was having a private conversation on the phone whilst serving people...We just said our piece regarding the shocking service etc and left.

Worst, without a doubt - Planet Hollywood at DTD! You wouldn't get me there again if you paid me....so many great places to eat in Florida that you don't need to re-visit horrible ones, even if it might have been an 'off-day'. Server was rude, slow, just couldn't be bothered.....food was cold, just a really awful meal!

Best, probably Rainforest Cafe at DTD. Excellent theming, wide choice on the menu & delicious food! Hard Rock Cafe was good too.

cracker barrel, it was noisy, the pot roast was cold and tough and although it said served with potato style of your choice when i asked they said i could't have extra potatoes as they came in the stew!!
we asked for a senior server who begrudgingly gave me a baked potato. half way through the meal, we hadn't had desert or coffee the waiter, who i have to say looked a bit glassy eyed, gave us the bill to take to the counter as he was going home as he had had enough for the night :(

Cant remember the name of it but its very nearly opposite Wet n wild -server was the rudest person ever and the food was awful - never again!!!!
We also went to a Sizzlers on Idrive and that was dreadful too.
Oh yes on our first ever holiday we tried a health place in Epcot and we all hated that too!!!! (closed now)

I'd have to say TGI Friday's , friendly service, but food was poor and very expensive.

It also didn't help as they wouldn't serve me with beer..... :erm: I was 31 and I have 3 children. The oldest was 6! At first it was funny , and I was thinking , wait till I tell my friends they though I was under 21. But when I realized they really weren't going to serve me , it wasn't so much fun.

It has to be bubba Gumps for us.

The server was friendly enough, and the food OK, however.....

The main courses were served 3 minutes after the mains.....we asked for them to go back to the kitchen, but they refused. All they did was pile the food on top of one another.

We were very disappointed, and will not go back.

Our worst so far has been,

Sizzler brekkie. Im still traumatised. We were introduced to our server, who then grabbed 4 plates of the pile, stuck them under her bare armpit (she looked a bit sweaty aswell) and said Follow me. The chef appeared now and then from the kitchen to tidy up the dried up buffet, and I watched him throw all the food that had come out of the trays back in. Ants all over the food, Really nasty.

As you can guess I didnt touch a thing. On a good note our server was very nice. She was very apologetic every time she bashed my ankles with the hoover as she hoovered around us, and she tried really hard to get the sucked boiled sweet of the card she gave me to remind us about the tip. :d:

No wonder you pay before you eat,

Ponderosa many many years ago when I did not know any better and there weren't forums around to share experiences.

It gave me food poisoning for 3 days. I was doubed over in agony and literally could not get up or walk at the worst of it.

I cannot understand why it is still in business......I suppose it has a steady trickle of unsuspecting tourists.

Come to think about it we have had some cr*ap meals over the years.
Terribe food and service in Logans on the 192, Joes Crab Shack on the 192, Cracker Barrell on the 27, Applebees on the 27. These are just a few in the last year or so.

Common denominator is all full of tourists so I suspect they don't they care as the next night it will be full of another round of unsuspecting diners.

Being a big foodie I am constantly disappointed with some of the restaurants. I feel when you go to a restaurant you should be given something better that you can produce at home!

In 2002, having had a very nice experience at IHOP for breakfast, we thought we'd try it for dinner - WRONG!!!!!!!!

OMG, the food was just awful, cold, gloopy and generally just yuck!!!

In 2006, the Rainforest Cafe in DTD was mobbed, but managed to get a table, wish we hadn't!!! While we waited an absolute age for the appetizers, eldest DS was lucky enough to sample the clam chowder - unfortunately not what he ordered and certainly not dropped all over him by the waiter taking to the table next to ours :erm: Poor thing, he had it all in his hair, face and smelt lovely on the drive home!!!

The appetizers arrived, followed by 2 minutes later by our main courses!! DH was livid and told them to take them away until we'd eater our starters!!!! We finished the starters and asked for our mains, by which time they were dry as a bone, sent them back, re-cooked, but pretty mediocre to be honest!!!

We were the last people in the resturant by this time, it was an experience I'd not like to have again.

we really liked Johnny Rockets - but I hated Golden Corral - i see it mentioned on here and often wonder if we ate at the same place, the one we went to was awful - cold food, plastic plates, just felt nasty.

We don't really bother with the offsite buffet places anymore - I prefer IHOP or Perkins where you order off a menu.

For us it was 100% Cracker Barrel, O gives me shudders thinking about it. Food was terrible and cold, service was horrendus !

The only other one that sticks in my mind, a couple of years back we met with friends at the Oriental Seafood Chinese Buffet on the 192 (east side) we didnt eat a thing.... pushed it around our plate, until it was time to leave after chatting with friends. even the chips (fries) tasted of 'fish' Yuk! Ooooooo horrible place!

I'm glad I've seen this thread as we like to work round different places each visit, as well as eat at proven venues. Shoney's and Black Angus were possibilities for another trip, but not now!

The worst food I've had was at:

1.Epcot. A hot dog and cheese - my fault for ordering as America can't do cheese - and it was vile. Hot, bright orange slime on a tinned non-sausage of the sort sold by vendors outside UK football grounds. No big deal as it was just a park snack, but surprisingly bad and at $6the usual park food rip-off.

2. Golden Corral, 192
All you force down your throat pig-fest of a place, full of people who acted like they were starving but plainly weren't. Vast self-service buffet, everything smelled and tasted of old bacon. A one-off!

The above are the worst I've had in lots of eating-out experiences in Florida, which is a much better record than I have in the UK and other countries. I'll post some good reviews in due course. In the right place.

Coral Reef for me - squashed in a booth that really wasn't big enough for our party, and they bought the entrees out before the appetisers, and then brought the appetisers out cold. :mad2:

There wasn't enough room on the table to start with never mind when they bought 2 courses out at once.

And we were so far back from the tank we didn't even have that to console ourselves with.

We learned from experiencing this a couple of times that they order differently in the US to us in the UK. We found you need to order your starter with your drinks and then order your main courses when the drinks and starters arrive. If you order starters and main courses together the requests seem to go to the kitchen with no pause in between.

Watch how the Americans place their food orders.

I think with some restaurants it is luck, the staff are having a good day or a bad day.We have had a lot of lovely meals and good service and then we maybe hit the restaurant on a not so good day (service wise). In saying that the worst meal ever in our lives was at a Chinese Buffet next to Cypress Pointe Grand Villas (I think on 535) it was beyond bad, warm orange juice, no milk, dirty and almost non existant service, plates were literally thrown on the table. We left without eating. Other mentions:
Sci Fi Diner (MGM) terrible service, very mediocre food.
Plant Hollywood -- terrible service
DTD Rainforest Cafe-- bad service
Raglan Road (take out fish and chip) soggy fish and burnt chips
dreadful binned most of the meal
We have had nothing but great experiences with:
IHOP - only ever had breakfast though.
Chillis- service and food always excellent
Bahama Breeze - service and food excellent
Outback Steakhouse

Disney On Site has been hit or miss we have had both good and bad experiences at:
Rose and Crown
Le Cellier
Marakesh
1900 Park Fare
Kona

A lot has to do with the attitude of the staff.

Wishing you all a pleasant dining experience on your WDW holidays.

Ci-Ci's Pizza on the 192! OMG , I made a thread on here asking opinions and some were bad but I thought i'd check it out for myself. So wish I hadn't!! NOTHING in there was labeled, me being a veggie at the time didn't know what the hell was what. The staff were SO miserable, shoved our plastic cups in our faces and that was that. :confused2 - Needless to say , NO tip was left! BUT with baring this is in mind, family friends went to the one on I.Drive on the EXACT same day and it was their nicest meal of the holiday ? :confused2 - Maybe the staff in the 192 were having a bad day. ( When I asked which was a veggie pizza, they were nice, BUT having no labels is a huge put offer for me , I like to know what I'm eating!!!!!)

Also the Las Vegas buffet, went here a few times in 2005 due to my parents liking it. Vile places, grubby, smelly and horrid food!!!

Has to be a toss-up between Captain Nemos, Magic Mining Company and Rainforest Cafe at AK.
The steaks at the Magic Mining Company were mostly fat with some indeterminate meat attached, Captain Nemos was a dive (no pun intended) and the Rainforest Cafe seem to believe they are doing a favour by allowing you to wait in their establishment for an interminable time, after which the first three items we requested were 'off the menu today'.

We tried the las vegas diner on the 192 near kissimmee old town on the recommendation of a couple that mil got talking to-omg what a gross place it was,it reminded me of some dodgy 1970's motorway service station, the food was overpriced and bland.

Also dh and i on our anniversary went to go to the chinese place in the grounds of our hotel(quality inn maingate west)but we took one look at the food in the hot plate and walked out-it looked disgusting and we went to macdonalds instead!!

We must have been really lucky this time - we had no terrible experiences... there is nowhere on I Drive we ate I wouldn't return to...

There are a couple of Disney places that we wouldn't go back next time, but the meal wasn't terrible, it's just that there are a lot of good places in Disney to eat - we found that a couple of places that had been slated, were really good, and others that were firm favourites were nice, but not a 'must' for next time, if you catch my drift.

I'm not giving names away though, don't want to spoil my dining TR :D

We have just returned, fresh with memories of the Ponderosa on the 192 (around Mile Marker 5).

Without doubt the worst meal I have ever had In Orlando and possibly ever.

We decided to give it a try as we saw Ponderosa described as nicer than Sizzler on the Dibb and we have found Sizzler o be OK.

The restaurant was dirty, the floor was not just filthly but also a bit sticky and before you think that could be just a spilt drink it was everywhere.

The food was just vile, greasy and overcooked. The Salad Bar contained practically no Salad and was packed with stodge swimming in fat.

I will never ever return

Planet Hollywood. Over priced, average food, took ages, server very surly yet kept trying to sell us souvenir items; the glasses for our drinks, a pricey sweatshirt when DD was shivering from the air-con etc.etc.!

What annoyed me particularly was the way they kept us waiting ages so that the kids got bored and then the server would say directly to them, "Why don't you get Mom to buy you....?!"

Too much emphasis on trying to flog merchandise; I like to have a sit down and get away from all that when I'm eating. And I certainly don't want any reminders of that place!

Golden Corral was bad, but given the price I expected it.

Worst for us was Key W Cool on 192. Premium prices, but poor service and extremely disappointing food. The steaks and ribs were bland, and the sauteed veg. were clearly steamed. Came out smelling like I'd been stood next to a bonfire, too.

Give me a cheap and cheerful Chilis anytime. :thumbs-up

i always liked planet hollywood at DTD but rainforest cafe is another story. we had a table booked for my BFs 21st last year. waited 40 mins to get the table and they sat us next too the toilets, really busy, kept getting bumped into by people walking past. the food was over cooked. when i asked to change the sides with a meal i got spoken to like a 5 year old by the server "but why do you not want country gravy? thats what it comes with sweet heart, are you sure? you mean no gravy?" !!!!!!!!

Firstly I have to agree with the way to order recently.. last August we had a couple of meals all on the table together so we started saying we were not ready to order but we would like a starter to be going on with .. works a treat ;) I think the chefs are the bosses if they say it goes then it goes..

now worst meals ever are..

Charlies Steakhouse on I drive .. waiter was a thief and I found the manager to be totally indifferent :nonono: think he thought he was a big shot with his two 'bodyguards' Visa reimbursed us the theft but I will never return.

Rose and Crown ... horrible meal and terrible service.. never again!

Bubba Gumps .. didn't actually get to eat on the last trip as it was early and empty I asked for a nice table .. got put literally under the stairs! whilst walking through/waiting looked around and the place looked grubby :confused2 went to the loo to hear someone throwing thier ring up .. back to the table and still no sign of our waiter/ress so we just up and left, it put me off for life :(

bennigans near seaworld .. horrid food, grubby place

hard rock cafe, terrible service and meal ( though kids have gone back and had a great time) I may give them another try

waffle house cooked breakfast was cold but I would return for their waffles.. maybe as a take out ;)

Cinderellas Royal Table Princess Breakfast.
Was sadly really disappointing the ambience was really great the princesses were lovely
The breakfast was average and only just warm. The server kept asking us if we had finished when it was clear we were still eating.I had to ask 5 times for some milk for my tea,it was very rushed (apart from my milk). It was a once do and my little girl was then too small to understand that really good money well spent did not involve sub standard service.Would not go back or recomend.

Waited 45 mins passed our ADR time to be seated. 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, food nothing to get excited about and never saw all the characters in the time we were there. Have been there twice before and have always thought it was 'average' but good for the kids. It was chaos. I complained to the two managers - hopefully things will improve.

thank goodness i am not the only one, we went in feb and have never paid so much for so little. whilst one might argue quality not quantity even this was awful and limited. the other thing that really annoys me is the suggested tip on the bill! it's a buffet for goodness sake not full service. i have had a better evening at golden corral/ponderosa or sizzlers :(

Our worst dining expierence was on our first trip to WDW at the nine dragons in China the food was ok but the service was shocking. We felt very rushed and they even took away my food when I went to the loo when I wasn't finished. Wwe complained to the manager and he just didn't care. We will definatly not be returning again!

The worst meal ever that I can remember was one we had at the Olive Garden years ago (either 1995/1996! - it was that bad that I still remember!).

The server brought all my food at the same time and left MrM there waiting for his. When I asked that he bring my main course back at the same time as MrM's he totally disregarded me and said "I'll just leave it here then!" The starter I had was calamari and was dried up and crusty.

Then, when MrM's pizza arrived he questionned the server as to why it didn't have pepperoni on it as he had ordered. The server firstly said it wasn't his fault as he was not the chef and then proceeded to prod at it and lift the cheese with his pen to show MrM the meagre piece of pepperoni nestled underneath!

We thought we were at Fawlty Towers!

A draw between Pirates Dinner Adventure and The Arabian Nights Dinner Show :confused2

......no, actually I think the Arabian Nights wins it on account of the hair I found in my dessert, and the pleasant Floor Manager, who when I eventually got hold of him to complain (he wouldn't come to see me - I had to find him !) told me to **** off back to England - NICE TOUCH !! :mad2:

Golden Corral in LBV was totally disgusting - full of coach parties of 'starving' obese people, mediocre, tasteless food, and a canteen atmosphere.
I enjoyed Olive Garden the first time I went, but was really disappointed last year. The food was a bland imitation of rustic Italian dishes.
Rainforest Cafe in DTD was so noisy and crowded that we just wanted to get out as quickly as possible (probably the idea). The food was average at best.

The manager was lovely but the server was a total idiot denied all knowledge. DH won't go back ever I might to do the character meal with the kids.

Another vote for Ponderosa, thought we'd try it once, having heard people rave about it, never again! There's a reason some places are so cheap!
Also agree with what someone said about Arabian Nights but as that was a dinner show I wasn't expecting much anyway.

have to say any of the ponderosa/sizzler/shoneys/golden corral just all a bit dodgy to me! But know lots of people love them, think its those horrible brown picnic type plates and cups they give you on arrival!!! Love Bahama breeze though!!

Id have to say the Golden Coral, for the reason that you had to fight for your food, I just kept getting pushed out of the way. I no your ment to exspect that at an 'All You Can Eat' place, but I didnt think it was going to be that bad! The food wasnt all that great anyway! It might have changed now anyway, we went last in 2005.

I do think in most cases you get what you pay for....

Most of the better meals we've had have been at Carabbas, Bahama Breeze, TGI Fridays, etc...

Most of the disappointments have come at Sizzler, Ponderosa and the other buffet type places.

Was disappointed a couple of years ago by Captain Jacks at DTD though - thought it was a Pirate's of the Caribbean themed restaurant but wasnt!!

We have eaten out in Orlando so many times and most experiences have been incredible.

The worst however have been: -

Dennys on the I-27 junction of the I-4 - Sat us in a dimly lit room where a new starter was watching a training video. Food came out cold with really bad service.

Marleys at City Walk - Terrible tasteless dry food came up late, plastic knives and forks, dirty table etc.

Sizzler at LBV - All food looked disgusting and as someone said earlier, the hoover was brought out while the servers shouted to each other.

I will probably get slated for this but the worst meal of our recent trip was at Chef Mickey's. The food was ok (just) but I thought the place had the atmosphere of a school canteen. The toilets were filthy and we waited ages for the server to take our drinks orders. Then they had the cheek to add an 18% service charge. When I challenged this the manager came over and tried to guilt trip us into paying it which I refused to do - gave them 10% which IMO is plenty for a buffet. The character interaction was good apart from Pluto completely ignoring our table every time he passed!

Have never eaten at any of the buffet type places and never will! Also had a vile meal at Cracker Barrel the first time we went.

Worst one we had was at the Teppanyaki. The chef didn't do the knife twirling thing, although we did get an onion volcano, and was more interested in telling us about his marital woes. The ladies stank so badly I was glad I went before I ate rather than after or I'd have lost my dinner.

I'd been really looking forward to it, but was very disappointed.

Key W Kools on the 192 - not particularly cheap, where we have had one of the best and one of the worse of our Florida dining experiences - when we first went in '06 had an excellent meal with great service. We then made the mistake of returning in '07 only to get a very disappointing meal (dry piece of salmon with no veg) and a server who obviously believed he could get bigger tips by just serving the US diners - goes to show how the attitude/quality of the staff on duty can make such a difference to your dining experience.
Enjoyed excellent meals at TGI Fridays (192), Bubba Gumps, Red Lobster and Rainforest Cafe (DTD). :wavey:

Has to be Planet Hollywood for us, really cramped, not so great food, however we did have a freebie in the form of a cockroach crawling over DH arm at table. When we complained to our server he just squashed it with a napkin on our table while we were eating and left the remains there.

We got up and left, when we complained to the manager on site she was not interested, however did get a refund when we wrote and complained upon our return.

Outback Steakhouse LBV, booked a meal for 8pm, when we turned up was told a booking didn't mean we'd get a table any earlier ?!?!
Kept us waiting until 8.50, waitress wanted us to have their signature "bloomin' onion" for a starter, looked at me like I was an idiot because I didn't want it.
Food was bland, don't know why people rave about it.

Black Angus LBV, overpriced, bland, had a better steak at Golden Corral at 1/4 the price.

I will never ever return

nasty food , some of it up the walls. to make things worse we were right next to the the rest room, and could hear the toilet roll dispenser rumble whenever it was used, shortly followed by the sound of flushing toilet.......

Sizzler for us. We used to like going there but we haven't been since 2003 and what a change. We went to the one on 192 - never been to that one before. It was dreadful. This was $9.95 per person for the buffet and we noticed that they were charging more than Tony Roma for a rack of ribs on the side. We just had the buffet. Wish we hadn't. Whatever happened to Sizzler? It used to be a bargain. The salads were just about OK. The hot food comprised three trays of brown (varying shades) slop. There was rice and spaghetti and deep fried, dripping in oil, chicken wings. The desserts were tiny pieces of plain cake and the soft serve ice cream which kids love - and which was very unkempt roundabout. Nobody seemed to be cleaning up. It put us off so much that we didn't even bother to do any buffet breakfasts - anywhere.

Luckily we've been twice before & have not really had a bad meal yet. I remember waiting ages for a burger at Wendys, but it was fine when it arrived. Has to be the Magic Mining Co - the restaurant themed into a mountain (with crazy golf out back...) on the 192... Awful place to eat, poor service, grubby all round... Heard on another thread that it's closed now? Not surprised to be honest... :thumbd:

Was disappointed by TGI Fridays (also on 192), thought the UK menu was far superior, as well as the service. :thumbd:

Finally, Denny's on the 27 (by the I4 exit) - So bad, we told people walking in to turn around - so where several other diners... slow service, cold food, wrong orders, the list goes on. :thumbd: Denny's on I drive is far superior.

On the upside, there are many, many great restaurants that far outweigh the poor ones... :thumbs-up

black angus on 192, carpets so sticky your feet stuck to it!!! no wonder they don't put the lights on so you have to stumble to your seat.
Shoney's on 192 near Ruby Tuesday, cold, grubby and limited choice.
Magic Mining, went last year on recommendations from here, found it dirty and you didn't get much food for your money (it was quite expensive for a spoonful of plain boiled rice!!)
Finally my number 1 has to go to Denny's on 192, took our order then ignored us for an hour, when we asked where our food and drinks where the waitress brought us stone cold food which had obviously been stood waiting in the kitchen, Alfie's mozarrela sticks had set, as had the gravy, my burger was cold and she took the lot back and microwaved it all including all my salad!!! ### !!

Dennys for me
when we went to dennys for the first time it was lovely but when we went the second time my mum ordered the BLT and it took about an hour for it to come out and our server was really rude then the third time we went there we all ordered this pinneapple drink and the server came out with two cokes for another family and our three pinneapple drinks and when he was about to set it on the table it slipped and went all over the three of us and we were soaking but on a high note the food was ok.
at least we got a nice shower before our dinner lol

Our worst meal was at Kona Cafe last year!
The tables were so closely crammed together you couldn't have a conversation without the people next to you hearing every word!
My food was cold and tasteless and we were sat elbow to elbow with the loudest, most vile, obnoxious man i have ever had the misfortune to meet! He spent the whole evening scrounging freebies from the Waitress (he was on the free DDP so wasn't entitled to any of the 'tasters', extra drinks or samples he took home with him free of charge!) And if he wasn't on the scrounge or hiding food under the table then telling passing Waitresses that he hadn't been served yet :omg:, he was loudly discussing how wonderful his Wife's breasts were! The only time he stopped comment on her breasts was when they were both having extremely loud conversations on their mobile phones! :nonono: :mad2:

One of the only bad meals I've ever had in Florida was at Joe's Crab Shack in Lake Buena Vista.

The food was dripping with grease, tasted nasty (and when it's seafood that's a bit worrying), partly undercooked yet burnt in places, dreadful service and not cheap either.

On the side of the restaurant it says "Eat at Joe's", and I'm afraid I can only say, "Please don't".....

DH would say Ponderosa on 192 after getting really bad food poisoning :confused2 closely following by Golden Coral LBV where we watched kid stuff his face then vomit while all his family carried on eating!! YUk Not really the Corals fault but full of people just stuffing till they're sick!

But.. the worse has just gotta be Taco Bell!!! What is that stuff they try to pass off as food??? :omg:

:( Las Vegas Buffet on the 192, I knew I shouldn't trust a place that sells so many styles of cooking. I was right because I was ill after eating there.

:( Cracker Barrel on I Drive - we did not actually eat here, the smell of vomit was so bad that we made our excuses and left after being seated. From other posts on here it seems like we had a lucky escape.

Shoneys on 192 - yuk! and unfortunately a horrible meal at Bubba Gumps (but hopefully it was just an off day for the waitress, service staff and chef!! - food was cold and the starters appeared with the main! - and all bar the manager couldn't give two hoots!).

Offsite - Shoneys and Ponderosa a close second (tells you how bad Shoneys was!).

Onsite - ESPN. I was gutted, got there for Monday Night Football (NFL), beers, hotdogs, chilli and steak all round. Every meal was over salted and cold. Steak was grissle and the server was not helpful when I raised the issue. Ended up leaving without paying and missing what looked a great game. :-(

The first time we went to an I HOP almost opp QI (dont think its there now, tho could be wrong) it wasent so much the food, it wasent great, but the server was very sarcastic and just down right rude and took for ever to come take our order. There were only 3 tables occupied !! We were so offended we never left any tip at all.

The other place was the Western Steer, it was a buffet, a lot of the food had gone stodgy and stuck round the edges of the pan, looked like it had sat around for hours. DDs BF had some sort of tuna mayo that had gone off and the potatoe salad and coleslaw was sour and off. Will never go to these places again :nonono::nonono:

Ok I've not read all the replies so sorry if others have said this.

Favorite Bahama Breeze :thumbs-up. Lovely atmosphere , great service and food and a brilliant outside area with live music. Long wait for tables but well worth it.

Worst : Shoney's on the 192, dirty and run down place, all you can eat buffet and the local Americans were literally eating all they could :confused2

Without a doubt Boston Lobster Feast. We only visited it because I thought the plastic lobster on top of the VW Beetle car was cute.

From the moment we sat down in the restaurant it was like a scene from Fawlty Towers. Server spent all of her time flirting with the guy sitting next to us. No problem to begin with as its a buffet. The food was cold, we couldn't get any drinks or our table cleared. Then as she grudingly got up to get us more drinks she spilled the contents of my plate over me:omg:

In my 22 weeks of holidaying in the US (over a 20 year period admitedly!) we have eaten out every single day.... and to be honest apart from a perhaps a crap burger at a Wendy's I cannot say there was one meal that I thought `Yuck'... some are better than others but maybe I am easily pleased... last month the three best places we ate was Bubba Gump, Tony Romas and a place called Sculleys (down in Treasure Island)...

Now if we are talking about Europe??? Where do we start???

Was very impressed with virtually all the food we ate - even the counter-service in Disney Parks (with one exception) were on the whole pretty good when you stop to think they are catering on such an industrial scale. Neither my DH nor DD eat meat so they did have limited choice in a lot of places - luckily they do both eat fish.
Our best meal was probably at Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DD (treat for my DD's 16th).
The only inedible food we had was the Lunching-pad in Tomorrowland at MK. Described as cheese pretzels they were absolutely vile - we threw them all away after one bite and went to get something edible at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. Elsewhere I did see them described as "Sweet cheese pretzels" and that would have been enough of a warning to avoid them - they were soggy and filled with the most disgusting artificial sweet flavoured gloop its ever been my misfortune to taste - and I'm not a fussy eater.

My vote goes to The Outback Steakhouse on the 192. The meal took over an hour to arrive by which time DS had fallen asleep at the table !! As a " gesture of goodwill " they didn't charge us for DS's meal as he hadn't eaten any of it !! How kind :erm:

I have always had pretty good meals in Golden Corral tho only been to the one on I-Drive little concerned now as staying at old town in a couple of weeks and was gonna eat regularly at the one on 192 so hope its ok!! I hated the NBA Cafe - It was empty and they gave us a rubbish table and the service was awful!

I thought it was dirty and had a bad smell - the menus were all sticky and greasy and the walls and table were dirty and I felt sick before the food even came. The food was really, really cold even though it looked like it should have been nice. I just took a mouthful and asked for the bill and left - I really just wanted to get out of there!

It was a shame as I was looking forward to it.

Every other meal has been wonderful though, although I didnt go much on the food at Boma and our server at Planet Hollywood was a bit of an idiot - I think thats just one of those things!

This time for us it was Sizzler on the 192 - absolutely nasty - three trays of brown slop (in varying shade of brown). Some may say don't complain because it's cheap - however, it used to be cheap but edible. We went because we thought there would be as much choice as we had been used to. Wrong. They put out less food and of an infinitely poorer quality than anything else we had before. Would quite happily have paid more.

The worst meal on our recent trip was in IHOP on the 192. The food was ok but the service was awful. We would not go there again.

Sci Fi Diner at MGM. Wait 30 mins after ADR time... rubbish service... cold food... really bad!! will never go back

Our experience there was just the opposite, either you got them on a bad day on we were lucky.

Worst Disney meal for us was Electric Umbrella in Epcot. DW wanted to go to Seasons and I persuaded her that we should have a burger at Electric Umbrella. The burgers were swimming in grease, the fries were cold and soggy and all in all it was just plain awful. I'll do as I'm told in future. Also had a disappointing (not bad just disappointing) meal in the Brown Derby at the Studios. It cost a fortune and was just average in our opinion.

Worst off site I think was at some Buffet place on the 192. YUK!!

Funnily enough we had the same experiences as you in both places. Had a fantastic steak in the Magic Mining Co and hubby got food poisoning in JT's and I had a baked potato that had obviously been warmed up from an age ago (you can always tell).

Our worst dining expierence was on our first trip to WDW at the nine dragons in China the food was ok but the service was shocking.

We had the same experience and won't go back there. The food was ok, but the service was indiferent to say the least and the tables are jam packed together. :(

I had the worst steak I've ever seen, and I'd say tasted.............but I couldn't taste it!!!:omg: It was grey to look at. Yuk!! The service was terrible too.

Cali Grill has to get a mention here too. Awful, awful service and mediocre food. Very disappointing. :(

Best - Landry's, gorgeous seafood platter and DH got steak and Lobster! Kids well happy with Mac and chees and pizza and chips, also a man came round and made all of us balloon things, a sword, a motor bike(!) and a flower for me!

Dissapointing - Rose and Crown, nice food, poor service, slow and lack lustre, also we gave full tips and hadn't the correct change and had to leave an even bigger tip because the server "didn't have change" either. I felt it wasn't worth the full tip never mind the extra.

Never been to the Magic Mining restaurant, only done the golf.

For me, the absolute worst place I have ever eaten in the states (that is still open today, mind you) is Coney Island on the 192. Everything was cold and soggy, you had to ask the waitress to bring out crab and lobster and every time you did, she'd have a disgusted look on her face like you just asked her to wipe your backside!

Our worst was TGI's at the crossroads

Waitress was awful, My DD age 5 had carrot sticks with her meal and i think they had been taken out of the freezer, they looked really old, all white and had big cracks in them. I wouldn't even give them to my rabbit.

We complained to our waitress and she just looked at us as if we were making a fuss about nothing so we asked for the manager who was very apologetic and took them away, the waitress then returned and said they were going to knock 49c off the meal :erm:

By this time we'd all finished and just wanted to get out of there, We left the 49c on the table as an insulting tip!

The rest of the meal was nothing to write home about either

I'd have to say TGI Friday's , friendly service, but food was poor and very expensive.

It also didn't help as they wouldn't serve me with beer..... :erm: I was 31 and I have 3 children. The oldest was 6! At first it was funny , and I was thinking , wait till I tell my friends they though I was under 21. But when I realized they really weren't going to serve me , it wasn't so much fun.

me my mum dad aunt uncle thier two kids who were 19 and 20 went her i showed my passport to the server while ordering my drink he took everyones order and then came back to ask my parents and aunt and uncle for there id! they made the kid who was serving us get the manager an said my kids are old enough to drink, they were quite annoyed but it was really funny for me to be sat with my drink while my parents argued they were old enough, makes a change!!

TGI's at Lake Buena Vista.
The staff were rude to the point of just plain ignoring us.
We ordered a NY strip steak for hubby-it arrived frozen solid in the middle.
When we eventually got hold of our sever to complain he said it was fresh !
Drinks didn't arrive,toilets were dirty.
Complained and didn't pay anything.Would never go back again.

We went to TGI's on 192 just off H27 and the service coldn't have been more opposite to yours. Our server was so friendly and accomodating and our meals were gorgeous with plenty of drink refills and even a balloon and puppet guy for the kids.We also visited Golden Corral on Pacificparkway and it was lovely. So clean and fresh and less crowded than those on 192.

Our TGI meal at the end of IDrive was one of the best meals of our hol.
The only negative occasion I can think of was at California Grill. We had ordered a big plate of sushi to share to start with and just as it arrived the fireworks started so we went outside (informing the waiter). Came back in and whilst my DBF was finishing off what was left the waiter literally lifted the plate off the table and said he was taking it as our main course was ready. :erm:
