Hi All.
I joined yesterday and was advised to ask this question here. It will be our first trip next yr.

"I would like any advice on good places to eat out.
Anyone got any good recomendations for me.......
I have two children one who will eat most things, the other not so keen on pizza or burgers (panic!!!) but eats most other things". Can you tell me place that may do a variety of food.......
If anyone can give me some advice it would be a great help.
Thanks

Hello and welcome,
We've only ever stayed on I Drive before and there is so much choice its crazy!
So can only really advise for here.
Places like TGI's, Bahama Breeze, Tony Romas & Sweet Tomatoes offer a variety at good prices, others like Ponderosa & Golden Corral are all you can eat and again offer a wide variety.
You can pick up discount vouchers for some places in the coupon books that you can pick up on the I Ride Trolley and at the Malls.
There is so much choice you'll find it hard to choose!
If you go into past threads about places to eat you'll get some more ideas too.
Where are you staying & what age are your kids? This could have some bearing on your choice!
Happy hols!

welcome to the dibb!
the disney buffets are great for families as there will be something for everyone. crystal palace at mk (winnie the pooh and friends), chef mickeys at the contemporary resort and cape may clambake (no characters at dinner) or breakfast (minnie, goofy and chip and dale). if princesses is their thing restaurant akershus or cinderellas royal table (not a buffet) whatever you go for you'll have a great holiday

Thanks for your advice Azzo. I will have a look at some past threads and see if there are any other places advised on there.
My children are age (11 & 6 or at least they will be by the time we go)

Thanks also for your advice. I was under the impression character meals where only available at Disney hotels. We are not staying at a Disney hotel. We are in LBV.
I have looked at some of the pictures on here, portions look HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

My thumbs up go to

Crystal Palace (It's in Magic Kingdom) Character dining was a fantastic experience for all the family.

The Cheesecake Factory (Florida Mall) Lovely food at good prices.

Golden Corral (various locations) buffet food, IMHO better than other restaurants than offer buffet deals.

Hope this helps

Even if you're not staying at a Disney hotel you can still book a character breakfast :) (or at a Universal one) Ther are all types to suit most kids (of all ages!):0

Portions are huge, you're right, just ask if they can share!;)

Anybody can eat in a disney hotel, not just disney guests.... so if there is a character meal or a restaurant you think you and your children would like, then you can make an adr by calling disney reservations, 001 407 939 3463... you can start making reservations 180 days before your chosen date.

Take a look at some of the menus.

we love the pondarosa my DS11 loves their choc desserts. theres one in LBV.
we love doing the character meals too, theres so many to choose from and the food is really good. most restaurants you'll find to be buffet, all you can eat so i'm sure your little fussy eater will find something yummy to eat. ;) you'll have a fab time there are so many different places to choose from :thumbs-up

Here's (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/disney-character-dining.php) a useful page showing character meals are available and where they are. Info on ADRs (Advanced Dining Reservations) here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/disney-advanced-dining-reservation.php) and menus for Disney resturants here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/dining-menus.php)

Crystal Palace is great fun for character buffets, even better to book for an hour or so before wishes and request a window seat.

I'd suggest you make time ot eat at Ohana in the Polynesian Resort. Fanstastic all you can eat affair, bbq'd meats, salads, dips, chips, prawns, glazed chicken and ribs, free soft drinks, it took me 2 hours and 4 laps of MK to even START to walk it off!!!

We have 2 children who have different eating habits and We never had a problem at any restaurant.

In Disney we did character meals at Chef Mickys (Contemporary hotel)
Cinderellas Royal Table (CRT) lunch in the MK castle.

We also used a counter service restaurant at Epoct Land Pavillion - forget the name.

Off site Golden Correl (GC) was popular as was Sweet Tomatoes and Olive Garden as well as Bahama Breeze.

We used Mapmans map to get around off site
