We are mom,dad and 2 sons two and a half years old.

We are staying at POFQ for 14 nights in May

We are only doing Disney parks as we believe we will have to go twice possibly 3 times to Magic Kingdom and twice to the rest as with our twins it will be slow going.

We have the 14 day ultimate pass for Disney

wE have DDP for duration

We have a car.

We would like to eat early a lot of the time and we intend to share our food with the boys.

I may be daft but i would have left a tip anyway whether it was included or not if i liked the service

I feel that even without the appetiser at the TS and adding the tip is inconvenient but the DDP is still good for us for this holiday.

Do you agree or is there better ways than going DDP?

We agree with you all the way, think DDP is a great option. and are 100% with you on the tipping, Our 2 DDs think we are crazy to leave a tip if its included in price. but we feel that if the service is good than a tip is also good.

Eldest dd and i are taking 33 month old CJ and 18 month old Chloe in December 08 and we have got DDP as we wanted to have as much paid for up front as possible for budgeting reasons.
We are staying on site and are not driving so will be soley Disney based so that was another deciding factor
So i would vote stay with ddp

I would stick with it too, if you are going to be eating mostly in WDW anyway, I think it makes sense. There are no doubt others who will disagree but I like to have it paid and sorted beforehand as well

I'm still not sure to be honest wether we want the DDP or not, evenwith the changes it does seem a good option but i feel as though having to plan so many meals etc. restricts us a little bit as we do like to have some spontaneity on our hols.

Sounds like it will be ideal for your family.

I dont think we would ever do it as we have too many fave offsite restaurants. I was kinda tempted by the free DDP offer for next September, but then i read about the increased crowds and it put me off! It has pros and cons but if you are staying onsite for the duration and dont want to eat off property, its a very good deal.

Please don't let the crowds put you off going in Sept. We went last year at free DDP time and although there were lots of people in the parks, the queues were very low and Pop Century was not crowded at all.
Its a great time to go. :thumbs-up

Make sure you plan ahead and book all your meals before you go,a lot of people made the mistake when we were there in August of thinking they could get table service meals when they arrived only to find that there were very few places available(if any at all!),this may be differant outside of the school hol's but i was glad i did most of mine in march.
