View Full Version : Mickey's Backyard Bbq Tickets??
:) Hi
Ive been reading about different dinner character shows and I think our 2 DB's aged 6 and 3yrs would love Mickey's Backyard BBQ!
Can anyone tell me how I go about reserving tickets and requesting priority seating? Is there a good web site I can reserve tickets from? Our holiday is from 3rd - 24th April next year.
Thanks

You need to call Disneys reservation number and ask to book Mickeys backyard BBQ. Its is on selected days, not everyday.
They will ask for a credit card. I am not sure if they take the full amount then and there or just keep your details in case you don't show up.
Call 0844 861 8686 which will give you a cheap 1 or 2p to the USA call.
Then dial 001-407-939-3463.
Hope that helps, we have it booked for a couple of weeks time. :spin:

Just a word of warning if you are hoping to meet the characters - we went a couple of weeks ago and they did not come to our table.
Before the show started, Mickey and Minnie were on the dance floor and you could queue up to see them to have a photo/get their autograph. My two boys were a bit slow in deciding they would join the queue. Eventually they did, only to get Mickey taken away just before their turn. The CM told me not to worry, they come round all the tables. During the evening, they did go round - but not to our table or to any near us. (We had good seats with a good view of the show/dancing.) The characters did seem to go to the tables further away - don't know if they always do this.
The boys still enjoyed the show and were able to get near the characters during the dancing. We had a couple of character breakfasts booked so I wasn't too disappointed but would have been very annoyed if this was our only character meal. (We were also on the free DDP so hadn't actually paid - but obviously they didn't know that.)

Did you make the CM aware that the characters had missed your table? They are usually very good if that happens and they make sure the characters come to you at the soonest possible time.

No, I didn't. To be honest, we'd been to The Crystal Palace and were doing Chef Mickey's the following morning where I knew they would meet the characters. It was also an awful night - storms and pouring with rain - we'd had to queue for the food in the rain and then the boys wanted the 'restrooms' which meant we got soaking wet. It was only when we were leaving that I saw a pile of towels that you could use to dry off - a good gesture on WDW part but an annoucement that they were there would have been helpful!! Having said that, if this had been our only character experience, I would have spoken to a CM.

I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience. I hope your other character meals made up for it. :thumbs-up

Yes, we did thanks - the other character meals were great and we also had some other ADRs which were really good. We still enjoyed it and the boys soon got over their disappointment.
