Caribbean Beach Resort - Pool Closure

Hi everyone! Have just been reading my All Ears newsletter from last week and noticed in the rehabs sections that the Old Port Royal pool will be closed from January 7 - mid September 2008!!!!! :confused2

We are not arriving til 26th September so hopefully will be open by the time we arrive but just thought I would let others know ;)

Thanks for that. Marvellous, just booked for last two weeks in August so at the moment not too happy since it's our first stay in a Disney hotel and wanted everything just right.

Yes, the main pool will be closed - but all the village pools will be open.

We too have booked for August. We booked direct with Disney and when I found this out yesterday I called them. We have been told we can move to another mod with no charge if we so wish. We are now looking to see if we are happy to stay at CBR or whether we want to move to CSR or POR :confused2 :confused2 :confused2

We have booked for CBR and were told about it before we booked. We didn't use the main pool this year at CBR as it was too busy for DS2. I'm hoping many people will be put off because of the pool re-hab so the resort won't be as busy. Two quiet pools will have children's slides put in so this may be a help to those with younger children.

I think the main impact will be on the outside bar area next to the main pool. As we didn't use this either I don't think our stay will be affected.
