Obviously clothes but what else are total bargains that we shouldn't leave behind?
Nintendo DS games. They're half the price we pay back home and a better selection too.
2 complete sets of bedding for my sons room (comforters, sheet sets and valance etc) from bed n bath
originally priced at $125 each and i got them for a super low price of $26 for the two sets :thumbs-up
we reckon they would have cost welll over £100 over here for something of similar quality ;)
DH always brings back loads of mequires car cleaning stuff.............March he brought back 10 bottles of the stuff plus other goodies. They are less than half price from walmart (and a bag to put them all in ;) )

I buy loads of this from Walmart too .. DW thinks I am mad :d:
When i polish my car with this, the aroma is just the same as that in dollar at sanford, it makes me want too book my next trip :spin:
Laptops - upto £250 cheaper than over here.
MP3 players - got 2 x Archos 104 4gb players for the price of one in the UK
Nintendo DS - Paid $130 (£65) for a new one and as Gill said the games are virtually half price

We brought back clothes, school bags and lunch boxes and some Tommy Hillfiger sheets set for DS (ony $19.99 in TJ Max) We also bought used Nintendo DS games mainly for $19.99 which is a real bargain as the same games here would be the equivalent of $60 (€45)
2 complete sets of bedding for my sons room (comforters, sheet sets and valance etc) from bed n bath.....
I looked at buying comforters for DS's double bed but couldn't work out how to keep them clean. They didn't look like they'd fit in the washing machine so it would be dry cleaning or the laundry?

OK but what about other stuff? Is fine jewellery cheaper, I know they have 14ct gold as opposed to our usual 9. Has anyone investigated the cost of say a diamond ring compared to what we are used to?
Is a UK Costco membership accepted there?

I'm not 100% clued up on diamonds but they do seem to be cheaper in the US, a few people on have mentioned upgrading their wedding/engagement rings over there.
You can definitely use UK Costco membership in the US.

Oh yes diamonds were our biggest bargain, hubby bought me a beautifull ring for our anniversary and once back home and the valuation price was nearly 3 times what we paid for it ;)

Perfume at the airport was really cheap!! I got a bottle of my usual Chanel Chance for around $45 - bargain!!

craft stuff if that's your thing.
Also I love their cosmetics, skincare etc. Most brands are much cheaper and there is such a good selection. Find brands such as Olay, Max Factor, L'Oreal, Almay & Sally Hansen nail stuff in Walmarts, and Clinique, Estee Lauder etc in Macys.

Thanks, that's great. I was just wondering if I was missing anything. I'm definitely missing out on the coupons. I'll have a look for them. I did buy a coupon book at LBV outlets for $3 and got 20% off my shop at Kids Gap and that was well worth it.

As well as stuff that's cheaper, we also bring back stuff you just can't get in England (as far as I am aware). Things like:
Dixie Cups (lightweight paper cups for bathroom use in all designs)
Different cake mixes, cinnamon and other flavour toothpastes, different Glade aerosol smells, Hamburger 'helpers' and other boxes of stuff designed to make meals up.
I'm a scrapbooker so I generally buy lots of embellishments, paper, etc. (Don't forget to get the Orlando Sentinel on a Sunday - it has pages and pages of coupons, and usually a half price on one item coupon for Michael's Crafts).
Ooooh! roll on 28 November - (First trip with my only grandchild, Zachary, who will celebrate his second birthday in the Magic Kingdom, plus my DH and DD and SIL. We've breakfast booked at CP to enjoy PoohBear and his friends. We're all Disney- mad and can't wait to see his face on his very first visit).

Walmart Tools section is great - if only I had a decent baggage allowance so I could take all that heavy metal home!
Discount books - register with Chelsea Outlets VIP club (free) (https://www.premiumoutlets.com/vip/) for premium outlets and you can print out lots of discount vouchers, my wife always has a few of the guess 20% off ones, and if you go to the desk in the centre of the food court you can pick up a free VIP discount booklet
don't know about the other malls, but have heard international visitors can claim a discount from the big department stores at guest services?
we bought a quicksilver wetsuit in July this year for £26! Quicksilver shop at Mall Of Millenia

I bring loads of different things - clothes, shoes, craft supplies etc. However, my favorite things are all the travel size products you can get in Walmart. You can get travel sizes of all sorts of toiletries etc. I love them!

I think I'm pretty safe in saying nearly everything bought in the US is a bargain compared to buying the equivilant in the uk.
Certainly all games consoles, mp3 players , laptops etc..
The DW loves clinique products and that is almost 50% cheaper to buy in the US.
My biggest bargain is trainers. K-Swiss trainers in the UK for size 11 is almost £70. It cost me £22 in the US.

I bought opi nail products, at least half price, crafts ditto. (all small and easy to pack) I would say, if in doubt, just buy it. Treat yourself! Then check out the prices when you get back home and see how much you saved. The exchange rate is great at the moment anyway. Go for it!

Funny story really. I used to go camping with a girls group and had heard all about dutch oven cooking over a fire. A dutch oven is basically a huge heavy cast iron pan with three little legs, a loop handle and a lid. I managed to persuade DH that I had to have one as you can't get them in England. We compromised by just buying the medium size. DH did all the packing for us coming home.
We're waiting in line to go through security at airport when he suddenly remembered he'd packed the lid in my small case I used for hand luggage - uh -oh :( ! Well of course it went through security and the security man beckoned me over to open the case. Red-faced I had to tell him the whole story. I had visions of my pan lid being confiscated in case I went beserk on board the plane and knocked out a few people. Fortunately, he allowed me to take it through. :D

Bought my wife a Dior watch from Tag Heuer store for her birthday back in August, cost me just over $800 with the tax but at home its over a £1000
Luckily we also waltzed through customs with no problems either, but would of still been worth it even if we had to pay
Battery stopped in it this week, but still under warranty so will be replaced for free
the woman in Watches of Switzerland in Bond St authorised repairers could not believe the price I had paid for it

Ann.
We went on a jeep safari in deepest Utah and the driver kept mentioning cooking in a Dutch oven while camping. By coincidence the other people on the trip were from the Netherlands; of course they'd never heard of said cooking pot and were quite amused by the name.
BTW You can get cast aluminium (aluminum) Dutch Ovens which might have been a bit easier to get home.

I bought a BOSE soundock for my IPOD from the Bose store in Premium Outlets. It cost me $300 and they are still £250 over here and that was a year ago - the sound from it is amazing
KONAD nail art kits , cant buy them here unless off eBay. brilliant girlie toy. they are like small metal discs , paint special thick nail varnish over em then stamp it on your nails . endless fun :)
WWE wrestling figures form walmart , the ones with belt in for the child, DS always adds a few new ones :nonono:

John 2303, How did that work when our electricity supply is different to theirs? BTW we have a Klipsh sound system for our ipod and i think it equals the Bose but I would like some of their noise cancelling earphones.
