NEW iPOD PRICES IN $$$

Hi gang,
Does anybody have any idea of the $ price of the new iPods in the states! I have given up the hunt for the iphone now, and would like to get either the 16gb IPOD TOUCH (£269.00 over here), or the 160gb IPOD CLASSIC (£229.00 here). Just wondered if a much better deal could be had in the States!!! Read various posts, some say much better prices in the U.S whereas others say Apple price them very similarlay to here!! :mad2:

Best place to start is the Apple Store online.

iPod Touch 16Gb (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=browse&mco=FDC8CDFF&node=home/ipod/ipod_touch) is $399.00 (approx $422 with tax @ 6%) - £215

iPod Classic 160Gb (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=browse&mco=A9233D6&node=home/ipod/ipod) is $349.00 (approx $369 with tax @ 6%) - £188

The prices will be near enough the same wherever you buy over there - The Apple Store will be the same as Walmart/Target.
