We have never found anything cheaper than Universal website. I think you can safely leave booking it until a lot nearer yr departure date if you don't want to have your money tied up.
We booked about 3 weeks ago for end October so unless you are going at a really busy time I would leave it.

good idea - thanks, i thought that it got sold up quickly
If you want to book the Hard Rock, email vibha(vpatel@loewshotels.com), who is an Assistant Reservations Manager at the Hard Rock. She is great to deal with and will take the booking and apply AAA rates when they come out. Tell her I sent you! :)
BTW, not on commission or anything, it is just nnice to have someone you can deal with on a personal basis!

:wavey: Hi
Last night I tried to book 1 night at HRH online for next July, but when the summary came up at the end it was blank. I've no idea if it worked or not
I have sent them an email (to guest services), so hope it worked OK.
Has anyone else had problems?

How much do the AAA rates work out? Is it worth getting the cheapest AA cover - I only want to stay one night at Universal but can you use it for other things?
i got the cheapest aa cover £35 with £25 cashback at quidco and its saved me £100 off my 2 week disney hotel and also money off airport parking

So how do you go about booking these rates through her? Are these AAA rates, or will she apply the AAA rates later on? that is if you are AAA
Thanks

Fiona,
The rates quoted are the rack rates for the Value Season.
Ater initially emailing Vibha I then phoned and sorted it out with her over the phone for our Feb trip. At that point I gave her my CC details and our Loews First number. She said she would apply the AAA rates when they came out. And true to her word she emailed me within a couple of weeks and gave me the AAA rates. I just emailed her back with our AA membership number and she confirmed the booking at that the discounted rates.
Extremely good service!

That sounds like a good way to book and means you don't hav to keep phoning about the AAA rates - excellent service  I take it you still have the standard cancellation policy as well if you book like this?
I feel the price has gone up a lot since last year as I'm sure I only paid around £145 for a club room in RPR last October but for next October the rate is $344 plus tax ? Do the prices naturally drop closer to the time you stay as I' sure I booked only a few months before in 2007.

Actually was just thinking - the amount I paid in 2007 was after the AAA DISCOUNT - that's why there is such a difference - doh! What sort of % is the AAA discount?

We are getting 10% in Feb but our dates are Peak Season.
I think someone mentioned that they were getting a higher percentage discount but that may have been for a different season! :confused2

I haven't got a reply yet either. I've also emailed the lady mentioned in this thread, but got an out of office reply, she's away 'til tomorrow.
I paid with credit card too and didn't even get a reservation number, just a blank summary screen.

Depends when you are going, but last summer it was around the 20%
