Ok guys need more help, do I take my own washing powder, or will I be ok to buy in Walmart or Publix??
The reason I am asking is that I normally use Fairy or Persil non bio as my hubbie as sensitive skin , can anyone recommend a washing powder or liquid.

Thanks for all your help

Helen :cool2:

I'm never sure about the laundry products over there as we have sensitive skin issues too. I take some Fairy tablets with me as I know we are all OK with those.

We tried the sensitive washing powder last year and TBH I wasn't impressed. I am taking my own this year.

We always stay in a villa so I do washing when we`re out there. Our two teenage sons and I suffer from eczema and we buy the washing liquid and fabric softener out there. I use Tide liquid and the fabric softener Downy Fresh in the frangrance April Fresh. We are fine with that. :-)

I too have eczema and use Publix's own sensitive range in liquid form, it's always been fine but if you are at all unsure I'd carry some tablets.

most people take non bio with them its a mine field to find it. sensitive skin suitable fabric conditioner is easier to find. at least your case smells nice with the fairy tablets etc you pack. i just find it less hassle to take mine with us, two weeks of eczema flare up wouldn't be good in DD's case its best for peace of mind with me.

I take Bold tablets because in 10 years, I haven't figured out where to put fabric conditioner in the top-loaders in the villas!!

Got to agree with you Katie about the fabric conditioner. Where do you put it?

In the top of the agitator. You should be ashamed that a man knows and you don't;)

We use Tide (without bleach).

We always take Bold 2 in 1 tablets...just dont forget if you are using a top loading washing machine (very common in Disney hotels) you need to double the quantity that you`d put in at home (ie 4 tablets instead of 2 ) :mickeywal

My husband has really sensitive skin & I have recently bought wash balls which are plastic balls with holes in..the detergent is inside the balls(which is unscented, as this is what causes him to break our) although you can also buy them with a lemon scent.

Each ball lasts for approx 60washes

i've been using them this last week and they have been fantastic so far & they will be a gift next year when we go back to florida as I wont have to worry about detergent, I'll just bring my wash balls with me.

I buy a lot of my clothes as I need them and then just wash them at the end of the holiday so that I'm not faced with it when I come home.

We always use Purex free and clear liquid, no dyes, no perfume, no problems with sensitive skin. We get it from publix or wal mart.

We had this dilema the past few trips. sensative skin and strange powders. we was told that the non bio here wouldn't work as well as they wash on a lower temp than we do and the cycles not as long so we went for the Tide / Downy no problems at all and find in most places.
