Dockers? & Plus Size Clothes?

anyone know of a good place in Orlando or Miami to get these?

I hope to get some dockers for my FIL, and want to pick up some size US24 (UK 26) size clothes for my mum as they are so much less over there ... I will be looking for casual spring/summer stuff in Nov so not sure if that will be a problem..

There are a couple of plus size ladies shops in the Florida Mall. Torrid caters for younger ladies and Lane Bryant do more conservative clothing, in my opinion. Both have websites so you could have a look here www.torrid.com/torrid/index.jsp and here www.lanebryant.charmingshoppes.com/pagebuilder/ for ideas before you go.

plus size clothing is widely available, you will find things in the department stores, in Walmart (not so nice), in Target, Old Navy etc.

I found that 'plus size' is known as 'fuller figure' in department stores the USA ;) :grin:

or, "Women's". My favourite plus-size shop is Avenue, on the terrace of shops behind Florida Mall, near the Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond shops .

Try the department stores "Womens" sections. I bought Dockers in Bealls in August in US size 18 for $10!!! They had loads of larger sizes too.

Take a look at Avenue (www.avenue.com) online. They are a great source for plus size clothing and they send loads of coupons if you sign up for their newsletter. Lane Bryant is a lot like it and is in the mall.

There is also a plus size shop (the name escapes me) across the street from the Florida Mall (on the left) just after you cross over Orange Blossom Trail on Sand Lake Road.

I know there is a Quizno's (sub/sandwhich shop) in the same plaza.

When you are in the department stores (JCPenney and Sears are good to try) ask where the Women's department is if you can't find it. They have the plus size in a section of its own.

There is one in the Osceola Square Mall on the 192. The Mall itself is a little run down but the store is fine.

I like the store it often has loads of bargains and next door to it is a Bealls outlet with even better discounts. In fact I am wearing my bargain Dockers even as I write!!!
