Excellent. Good home cooked, unadulterated food, value for money and a very extensive choice on menu.

Another vote for Applebees!

great place, good selection, including separate section with meals showing the 'weight watchers' point value for the healthy ones amongst you! and no they wernt all salad leaf dinners!

Went to one in Fort Myers last week for lunch. Had the soup and chicken tortilla combo - only $5.99. Mind you, the onion soup would have been enough - it was like a meal on its own! Also noticed it was one of the few places that doesn't over salt the food.

There is one at Berrytown Shopping centre, H27 (at the end of 192).

When we stayed at Bahama Bay this year is was very handy for us and we loved it, went back three times.

It is gorgeous food, an extensive choice so everyone is happy, really good value to start with and then has lots of happy hours ( ;) ) and offers, I can really recommend it.

Kids menu too.

I believe it is owned by the Chili's company (as is Red Lobster) & we have always loved it there too.

Applebee's is now owned by I-Hop, before it was an independent company. They bought it this year for $2.6billion

Chili's is owned by Brinker who own a few places like Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's & Break for the Boarder.

Darden owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones & Bahama Breeze. They are based in Orlando and often test their new restaurants their. I know the first Olive Garden was next to I-Hop on I-Drive and was empty for ages when they moved it, the place has just opened as a Chinese this year.

I'm sorry, I don't know where Silver Springs is, but if you look on the Villa Location Map,

here: http://www.thedibb.co.uk/villa-map.php,

the Berry Town centre is marked (its on the left hand side, zoom in!)and you may be able to work it out...

Our party must be in the minority on this, after reading so many good reports we tried the one on 192 by Sam,s club.
Sorry! but it really was the worst meal I have ever had in 19 years going to Florida.French Onion soup was fine, but the rest was terrible. We did complain mind you and got a reduction on the bill.Might have been just an off night?but I know it,s put me right off,and I can assure you it really takes a lot food wise to put me off!

Applebee's is great and very family friendly. The first outlet we went to was in Boston and we liked it so much we went back a couple of days later.

The food is always excellent in my opinion although I must admit I haven't been to any in and around Orlando. We spent a while getting lost trying to find a branch on the outskirts of Nashville last year which was good fun. I don't think they get many Brits there though.....

It is always worth giving a restaurant another go. Our love affair with Bennigans would never have taken off after a very unpleasant experience both service and food wise at the south I Drive location.

On our next trip we gave the restaurant another go (the one north on I Drive) it was excellent and later in the holiday we went back to the one where we had an indifferent experience and it was first class.

I must admit I am torn as to giving the Olive Garden another go though. We finally went for the first time last year and it was truly awful.....and the wait was nearly an hour as well!!!!

Maybe we might have a Bennigans style turn around with the OG...

Haven't decided whether I will risk goin back to the one on the 27 yet. Last time I went the waitress managed to tip a full glass of iced water over my legs. It was a complete accident and she was very apologetic - I suppose I just have to be glad it wasn't coke.

You should definately give OG another go, the steak gorgonzola is to die for. They are always busy though as you say so perhaps ring them in advance to get on the waiting list before you get there.
