I have been looking at the DDP and looking forward to all the lovely snacks I can have but just looked on the Disney UK website and it says this under the snacks heading : "Snack = a choice of 1 medium fountain soft drink, 1 20-ounce bottle of soft drink or water, 1 popcorn scoop (single serving box), OR 1 frozen ice cream novelty." Does this mean I won't be able to have anything else? :confused2 We are going Aug 2008.

No. Lots of other things are available as a snack. Most things at the food and wine festival count as snacks. One tip is any unused snacks can be used in the shops. We came back with lots of boxes of Disney cookies to use up our snack allowance

I'm at the POP right now, and there are a LOT of items included for snacks. But around Disney, it isn't everything $4.00 and under. Like, the ice cream in France isn't included. Nor the tea currently being sold in England (for the Food and Wine Festival).

We loved getting chilli cheese fries as a snack. Also bought loads of candy presents to bring home.

Be sure to ask before purchasing first: Some places have symbols on the menu if the stuff is available as a snack credit but we found in Goofy's Candy Cauldron the 'fresh' candy was not available as a snack despite it being exactly the same as what was sold in the other parks :confused2 We were feeling too tired to push it so we just chose something else, the bagged candy was fine for a snack credit.

We didn't have any problems in candy cauldron so it was most likely a bad cast member. The Pooh shop in MK refused snack credits altogether.

we did the same used our last 15 snack credits on goofy's candies at POP century, gave them to our DS class mates after school this week, they went very quickly and at least the credits werent wasted.

The 2008 plan for snacks has changed in that it's just 'single-serve' items that are now available. No boxes of donuts that we shared between us last year or quart bottles of milk. :(
