Just a bit of advice. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as they start to let people into the holding area before the park opens. I think we had to wait about 40 minutes all crowded in before they opened the inner gates. We found a wall to sit on but it was really hot & sticky for a while.

We're planning on going next year - really nervous tho', as I'm not a fan of the whole gore/scare thing... but I promised Matt we could go, as he's doing MNSSHP for me - only fair, I guess?!! :)

Honestly, once you have done it, there will be no stopping you. It's so funny even though you're apprehensive. We're not doing US this year but we'll be there with a vengeance next year!!

Hi

We have been to HHN in 2003 and last year. It is a fab night - best of our hols. You will love it if you like haunted houses, creepy stuff and a good old scare!!! They don't have a firework show as such - have a look at their brilliant website for an overview.

It is a really popular event and so if you go, get there early and head towards the back of the park quickly - we did and got 3 houses done before it got too crowded. We also did a daytime behind the scenes guided tour - it was brilliant and the whole concept of HHN was explained, what icons they have used in years gone past and some astounding facts about the meticulous planning they do to make HHN a success.

We have a 12 yr old and to be honest, he is very brave and loved the houses. If you have young kids do beware as the whole event is not for the faint-hearted.

If you decide to go, I would get the frequent fear pass which allows you to go on selected nights, for the price of one entry (check the current deals on the website though). That way, you can do all of the shows, houses and other fun stuff. The atmosphere is brilliant.

If you do go, have fun. I am wishing I was there this year - oh well, maybe next time.

HHN was the highlight of our holiday last year. It was fabulous. I'm a big horror fan but I'm a little apprehensive about entering the themed houses but it was amazing.

Bill and Ted show is hysterical and the scare actors at the scare zones do a fab job. I absolutely love it its the main reason I'm going back this year this time next week I'll be at HHN 17 :D

We have just picked up a map of this years event, there is an extra house and extra shows, but it does not show any scare zones  , but when I was in the park this morning there were lots of disguised fog machines, so it looks as tho there will be some after all :spin: :spin:

the horror nights are AMAZING!!! i loved it, it was totally just scarily great!!!
if you go, buy a fast pass, before if you can, as me and my x paid FAR TOO MUCH for ours on the night. its so fun, you will be scared all night. you can go on some of the rides, and there are some shows on too. they also have big huge tent things, and they are set up with scary stuff. it will spook you out toally tho. there are people running around with knives, and chain saws, and its so creepy!!! i screamed so much that night. me and the x got in the spirit, and b4 the park closed in the afternoon we got our face painted all spooky, and then went to the hard rock cafe to have some food b4 we went back in the even for the horror nights (yes we did get some weird looks from our waitress). i am like in love with this night, it was so good. i really rate it!
