I'm just looking at the Universal Studios park map and wondering what the following live shows are like, we never bothered with them before and I'm not sure whether we missed much:
Universal Horror Make-up Show
The Blues Brothers
Lucy-A-Tribute
Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue
Are they worth the time? The only shows we caught were at Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone - and they were Barney and a live animal pet show thing (which was very good)...
Anyone bother with these shows?

my lot loved blues brothers, beetlejuice graveyard revue seen beetlejuice each time we've been and its been different,as for horror make up show me amd DD didn't like it, didn't see it this year but last time it was the same as before
Really enjoy the Blues Brothers and this year we saw the Make-Up Horror show for the first time and really enjoyed it, well worth going in. I've not seen the other two but on other trip reports I've seen Beetlejuice get good reviews.

Beetlejuice, the Horror Makeup Show and The Blues Brothers are all excellent and well worth your time, we always do those 3. The Lucy Tribute was just a film and walk through display when we went, I'm not sure there is a live show :confused2 not of much interest unless you are a fan.

thanks for the replys...
I think we will give them a go then - apart from the Lucy Tribute. I don't know who she is to be honest  And if I have to google her to find out then what's the point?...and from DDs points of view there'd be even less point.

Yes, they're all good, my personal fave is the Horror Make Up show, this year it was so so funny!
Beetlejuice is great also.
If you go to Islands of Adventure, be sure to check out the Eighth Voyage of Sinbad, very very good and fast paced

Don't tell everyone about the horror make up show(only joking!). One of Universal's best efforts and never much of a queue.
If you've not seen Beetlejuice and the Horror Make Up shows before, they are well worth seeing. The Blues Brothers are great any time.

hmmm...we got a Starbucks everytime we went past that Italian café...gorgeous - we actually watched the Macy's parade on that corner and that was great fun too.
Thanks for all the replies I'm going to add these to our list of things not to miss this time...apart from the Lucy show that is.

Loved the Beetlejuice show. Wasn't keen to go but DD18 persuaded us to go - one of her better choices. The Sinbad show in IOA was one of her worst along with Posidons Adventure (glad this one is going to make way for Harry Potter land!)

Our DS loved this (he was 3 at the time), his face was a picture, DH captured this moment on camcorder, I was in tears

I was trying to remind my DW of this show (Psiedons Adventure) - that we did catch it in 1999...our first visit to Orlando. She can't remember it...I have a vague notion of it being a guided tour type deal...underground and with some animations here and there - I was looking forward to reminding DW and myself of what is was like, looks like I won't be able to now...that's assuming I've got it right and I'm thinking of the right thing.
Oh, and am I the only person bored to tears with Master Potter et al...I've only watched the first film and wasn't impressed...hope the attraction's better.

Yep, you have the right show. We queued for over an hour as it was our last chance to see it before it before it closed. What a waste of an hour of my life!

LOL...I won't mourn it's passing to deeply then - the fact it doesn't stick in my memory to well is probably an indication of how good it was...thanks for confirming it was the right show - I wonder if it's on youtube so I can jog DWs memory as she thinks I've gone nuts (nuts-ier!). :d:

I'd be suprised if anyone thought it enjoyable enough to video it!
I really like The Blues Brothers and Beetlejuice. They are totally different shows - Beetlejuice is in an outdoor theatre where you get to sit down and listen to good Rock music. The Blues Brothers - you get some audience participation and you can dance & sing along to songs like.... well the songs from the movie. Both are worth listening to. There is also a show by some breakdancers - Street-Breakz I think they're called. It's really entertaining and they get the children to join in with the act.

Lucille Ball? from the 'I Love Lucy' show? Married to Desi Arnaz? Started the Desilu studios that made the original Star Trek?
God - how sad am I - and I've never seen the tribute thing at US

Beetlejuice, the Horror Makeup Show and The Blues Brothers were the ones we thought we're the best saw the Lucy exhibition but since we didn't watch we didn't get it and went straight through. There were plenty of 'older' Americans interested though.
