I can't help I'm afraid, but I am desperate to know myself, because I'm thinking of Maui for next years holiday as one possible option, but haven't narrowed it down to a specific hotel. Have you looked this up in trip advisor? That sometimes helps, although the views are often more confusing than helpful to be honest.

We have been to Maui, though a different hotel, and found it a most beautiful island.

After 5 hours flight from LA and another internal hour flight to Maui, followed by an hours drive to the hotel, we were desperate for some luxury and we certainly got it. The Hawaiien hospitality is fantastic and our hotel was amazing, with the most wonderful pink/orange hue sunsets we have ever seen in the world, as the sun disappeared in fron of your eyes, from the edge of the beach; just amazing.

The island is green and lush and very pretty, although a bit expensive, as I guess they have to import a lot of their stuff. All in all, we would definately go back again.

Hi

I check on tripadvisor.com and it give more information and pictures too. Remember everybody have different mind and some said bad things, some said good things, Look at stars point. Ah, look at the picture of the sunshine as it look beautiful.

I have been in Hawaii as only change the flight as flight arrived Honolulu at 6am as it was beautiful warm weather. ;) After had a bad flight from Sydney to Honolulu phew.

Seem long way to Hawaii from UK but think it is worthing to see it.

Ian may I ask which hotel you stayed in?

It's a shame but I think it's closed now (not sure - it may have been taken over by someone??) - the Kapalua Bay hotel is where we stayed -5 star hotel and set right on the waters edge and a cliff top where the sun quite literally disappeared in front of your eyes into the ocean.....beautiful memories.

Thank you Ian. It sounds lovely. Shame it may be closed. I am thinking hard about Maui next year. Will be making a decision soon, and personal recommendations are always good.
