Hi guys can you drink tap water in america or are you better off with bottled?

The tap water is fine and perfectly drinkable, its just down to personal taste, we buy bottled water though.

The tap water is full of floride and this makes it taste funny. It is perfectly safe to drink. We buy bottled and we usually buy a big bottle then go to walmart and fill the used bottle back up.

I think it tastes horrible but it is drinkable. We use bottled - we buy those huge 5 litre ones from the supermarket. We use them even for coffee and tea.

We too find the taste awful - however I love the smell of Florida water, I really know I'm there when I first smell it :blush:

we always buy bottled, it's easy to just stick it in the fridge and then have it chilled...obvioulsy not as cold from the tap and it doesn't taste quite as nice.

Yeh, the water is ok to drink, but like everyone else says it's 'orrible. It tastes wierd, so I drink beer instead :pgig: :pgig: ;) :grin:

Same here,it,s a chlorine/bleach smell.if the wife uses bleach on anything at home now,I,m straight into a Florida missing depression :rolleyes:

As others have mentioned it's safe but tastes rank IMO, much prefer to buy bottled and it's cheap enough anyway. We bought a couple of the cases from Walmart for something like 10 bucks each for in the room then just bought individual bottles in the parks when we ran out. DDP gives you 2 drinks with a CS breakfast so we usually had water or powerade as our second one and took it out with us.

Like everyone else we use bottled----even for cuppas.
We do how ever use tap water to brush teeth etc (something we wouldnt do in St Lucia or even spain :confused2
