Hi Smythy

I am going on a Friday this year too and i have bought the expres pass as i heard that weekend night are the busiest.

Your question asks if anyone went on Firday night ?

If you go into the trip report forum you sill see a 'live' trippie being done and they visited HHN last week.

Im sorry i cant remember the name of the trip report but you cant miss it when you go into the forum.

we went on a friday last year, queuing times for the houses were at least 70 minutes. Was a great night, frightened the hell out of me, but I would DEFINITELY recommend an express pass

Yep we were there last Friday night. Oh my god i couldn't believe the queues for the houses. We waited 2 hours for one, bearing in mind its only on from 6.30 - 12 am.

We tried to buy an express pass on the night but they were sold out.

Also, we got a bargain on the tickets. They are supposed to be $65, but went to guest services at the end of the day with our orlando flexi ticket and got them for $40 each.

I was a bit disappointed with the street entertainment - wasn't much about. But the 4 houses we went into were fantastic - very scary!!

If you are only going in the evening & not going to be there during the day and staying - give yourself plenty of time as the traffic on the I4 and other approach roads is so bad, it comes to a standstill. It is bad on Saturday nights too. Fridays & Saturdays at HHN are busier than the other nights.

Katie, thanks for the tip on the traffic as i hadnt thought of that.

We are planning on being at City Walk for around 4pm to have some late lunch/early dinner before HHN.

Would this be ok going at this time ?

We did last Friday (which was much buisier than last year) and Saturday (which was a little buisier than last year).
I agree that lack of scare zones was a little dissapointing, but an extra house and 2 extra shows was good..

If you are a real fan of these I can recommend the VIP day time tours. We did the 2 hour one and cost $39 each. This was so interesting and the guide was fantastic. You get loads of info, get taken around three of the houses with the lights on, you see so much more of the detail that goes into these than you do when run around them at night. There was our party of 3 and one other and I can't reccomend and praise this enough.

Yes that will be fine - it just seems to be after about 5.30 or so when the roads are busy. You are really going to have a great night - it's the best.

Did this last friday and I agree with most of all the comments already. There just is not a lot of time on the night to do everything. Queues are enourmous at most things.

Are the Stay & Scream tickets ($25) more expensive at the weekends then or did you not go to HHN at the same evening?

We didn't go to US/IOA on the Friday (HNN), I don't really think they were supposed to give us the tickets for that price, but they had promised us a cheaper price at guest services not realising that you had to be a Florida resident to get a discount. So they tried every option possible for us, and i think they just put it through as a stay and scream.
