We were there in August for a week in Corralejo and really enjoyed it. As mentioned, definately visit the dunes. The sea was lovely. It was our first trip to the Canaries and the scenary was nothing we've ever seen.

We went to Fuerteventura for whitsun week in 2005 and stayed at the Oasis Village in Correlejo, as other posters have said the dunes are a must.
and well, we must have liked it because we also go back in August 2008!

We have been to Fuerteventura several times, kids keep going on at me to take them back. We stayed at Caleta De Fuste, and had a fantastic time. If you are self catering then the best place to go for shopping is the Dino Mart in Puerto Del Rosario, it is a lot cheaper than the ones in the tourist area. The clothing shops here are good too.

We stayed in February this year and had fantastic weather in Caleta de Fuste. We hired a car and noticed that it was warmer in the south of the Island but not so many English voices

Just re-read my post, and it looks as if I am returning to the Oasis Village, but I'm not just to Correlejo, this time we are staying in the Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort.
Not adding anything to the thread, but we went to Fuerteventura for our weeks honeymoon some 18 years ago and I can't believe how much development there is now (or rather I can but it saddens me a little).
When we were there we had a choice of two hotels which were about 400 metres from each other and that was it, and if you walked for 5 minutes you had the entire beach to yourself. Other than a mini supermarket out back there were no shops either.
I'm obviously getting old !
