I think he costs about $60 ish and I think he is updated every so often??
Someone told me that if I was to buy one, to get one from the back of a shelf as she had picked one up and as it had been played with on the shelf, the battery didn't last long...
I would be interested in the update thing too

He costs around $70. You can buy new outfits for him. He can be updated, ours had his 3rd trip this year and still works fine. He tells jokes and plays games as well as giving info about attractions and rides as you go around the parks. Very good fun for kids (or big kids) and helps to pass the time waiting in line.

What ages are he suitable for? Would a 6 month old be too young to enjoy him?

Does he give accurate /relevant information for the particular day that you are in the park with him, with regards to the show times etc, and if so how?

He will give you the heads up on wait times, shows and parades. He picks up info from sensors around the park as you move.
We did have a scary moment when he thought the parade was about to start at 3am! :confused2 A big tip, don't get him wet, he doesn't like Splash Mountain!

great fun
Love mine, he's brill. My favourite comment is when you are walking out of ToT. He says "Next time I thing i'll take the stairs" :pgig: :pgig: :pgig:
Also, when you take him close to Minnie in Camp Minnie Mickey in AK he goes nuts. Brilliant.
A question from me - Can you buy a Jedi Mickey suit for Pal Mickey?
If so is it just during star wars weekends or all year round and where do you get it.
Thanks and enjoy the Pal Mickey - I do :D

my mum bought one for my little bro 2 yrs ago and it automatically updates when you go into the parks he even works at home (uk) and he's pretty good and well worth the money as it keeps little ones quiet. you can also buy new outfits for him like we got a santas outfit as we went at xmas so if you go nearer to halloween maybe you might be able to get a halloween outfit ;) Good for all ages as i love him too
star wars outfit you should be able to get at dtd you could also possibily get it from the mgm park. we got the limited one with the gold thing on the hand and the mgm type hat on
hope this helps :D

I got one - not used him in the parks yet tho.
Have a look on e-bay - usually quite a bit cheaper.

We are borrowing a coworker's Pal Mickey for the trip. He has the same limited edition sorcerer's outfit. We are going to repay the kindness with a new outfit for Mickey. He clips to your belt or pack and gives a lot of useful information about parade times, wait times, etc. Will let you know how it went! :d:
He's great, got one a couple of weeks ago! cost $69.00 from the general store in POR. The cm made my DD pledge to look after him in front of everybody in the shop! it was a list of about 5 things she had to promise to do, then she got an adoption certificate to say she was his new owner! she took him everywhere with her! The Animal Kingdom was excellent as he tells you all about the animals as you walk past their enclosures!

Oh cool, we are off to AK on our first day! Have to make sure he has fresh batteries!
Ok, so there are sensors in the parks...were there any in the resorts? We are staying at CBR..wonder if Pal Mickey will give us resort informtation too.
