Stuart,
Is that the one where you are in a sock that drags you back up up and then lets go? If so, I admire your bravery for going anywhere near it.

It is Steve, being pulled up to 300 foot in a nylon bag that dosn't look strong enough to carry you shopping does make the heart flutter a little. As it pulls you up the material creaks and makes cracking sounds convincing you that it will rip apart at any moment. You then have to pull the cord yourself to drop....... But for the scary moments of being pulled up the drop and the flying is just awesome (awesome, you can see i have had US tv for a couple of weeks)

I went on it twice managing to get my 8 year old daughter on with me the second time.

I'm going back in 4 weeks and its top of my list of things to do

Start,
Try and get a couple of pictures this time and post them. I can only live this in a dream as there is no way I could manage that (too scared) (all this from a 17 stone ex navy rugby player!!)

How much did you pay for this?

To be honest if i just turned up and looked at it and thought about it i probably wouldn't have done it either - but when going with friends who on the surface seemed extreamly confident about it i just couldn't back out.

I'll send some from the next trip, but i found this on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riJ8zjgF_UQ

Thanks Stuart.

I've just checked out their website and it states $40 per individual and $70 per couple. Was $30 the advertised price when you were there or did you get an off peak or haggled discount?

$30 is the price, for 2 i think it was only $55. The prices were printed on everything so its not a one off.

If you are tempted brommy i would say go for it, you will never forget the experience.

Dont know how many of you are going but you can get 3 in at a time. The second time i did it i went with my daughter and a friend with a combined weight of about 35 stone i guess. the cable can take upto 9000 pounts in weight and it has 2 cables. i guess you just drop quicker and go faster the heavier you are

I don't think I will have a choice! My best mate of 30 years did it a few years ago. He wants to do it again and being a bloke I can't not do it if he does! With the two of us weighing in at 27 stone (together, not each!) it should give us good momentum for a high up-swing. I will try not to look as terrified as my wife and children who will be watching.

I am going to check my life insurance is in order before I fly out there on Saturday morning.

You lot are so brave!!! No way could I do that, the noise of the air 'whooshing' when we're playing on Pirates Cove adventure golf next door is enough to give me heebie-jeebies!!

Thanks again Stuart. Looks like I will be going for it!

Looking at the long range forecast on Accuweather.com the next 2 weeks look great. Forecast is for mid 80's with sunny intervals. I don't mind the odd thunderstorm (to be expected in a sub-tropical climate) but if it stays in the 80's and dryish for the 3 weeks, I will be chuffed.
