Has anyone done The Mummy ride. It sounds fantastic (loved the films) but as I have a lower back problem and don't really like roller coaster rides I'm not sure if I will be able to do it. It's hard to tell from the website what sort of ride it is. Help!!!

It is a coaster and it is fast and throws you about a bit. I ended up with a bad neck after going on this one.

Hi
This is a very fast and quite a rough ride and it does throw you about quite a bit. the wife ended up with a few bruises and a stiff neck afterwards, but hey its a great ride.

My boys conned me onto this one when it first opened - told me it was like a ghost train and not too fast. I came off shaking like a leaf and my language was blue, never again - they still think it's funny today but then they think Sheikra is a breeze and will ride it 2 or 3 times in a row!
If you've problems with your back I'd give it a miss.

Is it suitable for kids too, or is it scarey??

Its very scary to be honest! Not for me but I imagine kids would be scared, its all scary in the film context (clever scares) but scary nontheless.

We did the Mummy back to back yesterday as there were no queues...but its a very fast ride and does throw you around abit. I dont think I would recommend it if you have a bad back...we also thought it has been speeded up from last year.
I also have a low back problem - needed surgery , still got sciatica & my neck is wrecked. Although the shaking od the train in Earthquake once laid me up for three days, I have never had a problem on the Mummy. Mind You, I do hang on like grim death and brace myself against the movement so perhaps that has helped me.. It really is one of the best rides ever for me. I would give it a try and see how it goes. Our first year at the Parks - we hardy went on anything the first few days because we read the warnings. Then we started asking the people in the lines what it was really like and started doing the rides only to find that the notices were more of a disclaimer than anything else. Enjoy them.

I`m a bit of a coaster chicken and I did The Mummy and loved it. Didn`t think it was too scary at all. It does stop suddenly at one point but brace yourself and you should be fine. It`s a fab ride and i`m so glad I went on it. Got the pic to prove it as well :d:

My DS 6, 7 in November just made the height restriction (48") a couple of weeks ago. He was thrilled and loved every minute of it. He didn't find it scary at all. :spin:
Great ride. :thumbs-up
I don't think it is scary, but it does throw you about a lot. We were an odd number this year and I sat on my own and I thought I was going to be thrown out - seriously!
As it was I lost my sunglasses even though they were in a pocket. I bought some more when I was still in the park and when I mentioned that I'd lost a pair on a ride, the assistant said "Don't tell me - I'll bet it was on the Mummy!".
If I had a back back I'd give it a miss if I were you.

I have a bad back and love riding it. I didn't find it that bad to be honest, yeh you get jostled about but you do on all coasters.

I am scared of coasters (wont ride RnR, anything in IOA, Everest or even Splash due to the steep drop!) AND I have a really bad back - displaced sacro-iliac and suffer from pain and frequent sciatica.....................however I loved the Mummy!! It was my favourite ride and I enjoyed it with no ill-effects :) xx

Being a bit of a scary cat - this was the only coaster type ride I done last time - and it was great.
