View Full Version : Westgate Vacation Villas
Has anyone stayed here?
Any opinions or pics?
Thanks
Hi, we stayed here in 2005. They have condo's and villa's, we had a 2 bed villa and we were on the 2nd floor. It looked like it had been refurbished. Huge leather corner suite in lounge and 50in flat screen tv. King bed in master with and also a corner jacuzzi and huge walk in shower, also tv. The 2nd bed had 2 singles with sep bathroom and also tv. A well equiped kitchen and large balcony. Our's overlooked a swimming pool but I think all of them probably did as there was about 10 pools. It is a very large resort with plenty of activities going on and it's in a good position for shops.restaurants on the 192 and 10 minutes to Disney. We would happily stay there again. Sorry no photo's that I can put on pc.
A girl at work has a time share there, I think. She goes at least every other year, so it can't be too bad.
we had 3 bed villa lovely
Thanks for the replies, any others out there?
:wavey:
We go there every other year as my parents own a timeshare (how lucky am i?! :d: ). We stay at Westgate Lakes Resort on Turkey Lake Road, not sure if that is the one you are talking about as i believe there are a few of them dotted about. I know there are some Westgate buildings around the international drive area (they bought a crappy looking pink building and have renovated it and made it white and blue), and i believe theres a resort in Kissimee.
We absolutely love it. It is so nice to stay there, they welcome you "home" on arrival, and it really is 5 star. As mentioned above, you get the large leather sofa, massive flat screen TV, jacuzzi bath, kitchen with all amenities. Me and my partner stay in the B studio which is attached to the main apartment, and although it is smaller still is amazing. All the pools are great, and the view of the sunset over the lake is breath-taking. You can also see the Disney fireworks every night over the lake.
If you are an owner you also get free breakfast Tues,Wed, and Thurs at the pool, and a free BBQ on a Wed. They have a lovely restaurant on site - the Smokehouse - the food is gorgeous. And they have constant shuttle buses going around the resort all hours. They have tennis courts, crazy golf, and water activities on site again free for owners.
They are beginning to renovate the apartments, they have started building new condos across the lake, and next to block 100 (which i think they are keeping empty for now as the view isn't great!). They look lovely, although luxurious, i think the rooms could do with an update.
Sorry, i am probably being really thick, but how do you attach pics to the post?
Oops, just read the photo help forum and now know how to upload pics - i will add some soon for you.
We stayed there when we went to buy our villa. We had a 1 bedroom condo, large leather sectional, full kitchen, in room safe and large bathroom. It's nice but very spread out.
Here are some general pics of rooms A and B. Sorry some are a bit blurred!

Thanks for those Siany, its not the resort we are going to though, lol
We have Westgate Vacation Villas just off Highway 192 booked, I hope it's as nice as the ones you've shown though :D
I'm sure they will be lovely, all of Westgates apartments/resorts are of pretty much the same standard.
Have a great time

Hi, We are staying there in january for the first time, we have had a tour of the place and it looks superb, but i love the location best disney end of the 192 and very close to the Golden Corall and other eating places.
Hi - I've stayed there twice. It was the first time I'd ever stayed anywhere other than a hotel. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! The condo was beautiful...and we had a jacuzzi in the master bedroom!!! All the condos are in easy reach of any of the resorts pools. There is a little shop on site for esentials, but can be expensive. You are in the most fantastic location - literally 5 minutes from the Animal Kingdom. I would say you are probably closer to the park than All Stars are!
The only downside to staying there is the salesmen! However, just be firm, do not answer the phone, and do not go to the "maintenance check" meeting. If you do go, make sure you tell them that under the terms of your probation, you cannot enter into a timeshare agreement!!! They won't bother you again!!!!
JcJcJc I would love to hear your thought after you stay there.
P.S. Any pics would be brill ;)

Hiya, Yes i will take photo's but i have already been to see it a number of times, seen different types of condo's ect, all superb.
Our friend is the manager there and got us a silly deal as he has kept on saying come and stay here, the place looks so fab but its also the location which is so impressive, so near to disney but also right beside the 192 where all the restaurants are too.
We are looking forward to the change but dont get me wrong Bahama Bay is superb too but its a good drive to the parks unlike Westgates
Will let you know all about it on our return,

Our friend booked it for us, but i am sure if you call them direct and ask for the best possible price they will give you a good deal.
We did that for Bahama Bay asked if they would do us a good deal direct and got a cracking deal everytime now direct with them and save up to £300
