I am looking for a 5 bedroom villa (minimum) for my in-laws and their friends, dates are fixed as flights are booked, they arrive on Friday 14th March 2008 for 14 nights.
One of the party is disabled and will be in a wheelchair. The party will consist of 2 x couples, 1 gent, 1 21 year old and a 10 year old girl. Downstairs laundry room is a must (our last villa had this upstairs).
Please PM me if you have availability with a quote, and also include the price for pool heating which I will be advising them to take.
I would be advising them to stay on the East 192 area, as I think it will be very busy, and they will de doing a lot of dropping off some of the party at shops etc as they won't all go to the parks. I was thinking this may minimise the driving times but never having stayed in this area ourselves I could be wrong.
Thanks

They are all booked now - staying at Highgate on the US27 so they ignored my advice. Thanks for the replies, unfortunately they are not staying in a Dibb villa, and undoubtedly the villa they have chosen did not have all the privacy of some of the others but they were happy with the cost and the facilities the villa has.
As an aside, I as normal have politely replied to everyone who has given me a quote telling them another villa has been booked. Never asked anyone for a discount (as some do) as I always go by supplied quotes.
One owner (not Dibb) sent back an email slagging off the US27 area and their choice - did not bother me but would have caused distress to anyone going for the first time or with no knowledge of the area. This is definitely an exception, as usual all owners I were in contact with were polite and helpful.

How awful that someone feels it necessary to send a rude email, no doubt just because your friends didn't book their villa!
Please assure your friends that Highgate is a lovely area on highway 27 and should be pleased that they didn't accept the rude owner's quote - not people I'd want to deal with.
Hope they have a lovely holiday.

Jill, thanks for the reassurance. Our last 4 stays have been at Westridge, West Stoneridge and Windwood Bay so I am very familiar with the area and I like the US27 area.
I accept that there is a little more driving from there than from some of the 192 communities, particularly to Universal and Seaworld but my in laws and their friends are happy with this.
I couldn't be bothered replying to the email - don't want to get into it, but they also said there were no large supermarkets in the middle of nowhere (US27), I am sure I have spent many a happy hour or two in the Walmart at Cagans Crossing.

No problem, just goes to show how little they know, they probably haven't visited the area for quite a few years.
Your friends are extremely close to Berry Town Centre which has a Publix supermarket and restaurants, Walmart is also within a 5 minute drive as you rightly remember.

How awful, but unfortunatley I know that it does happen. They should be able to sell their house on its merits, not resort to this kind of thing. Luckily they do know the area, and know all of the facilities and shortcuts. Highgate is well spaced out, so even if they are backing onto another home, there is quiet a good distance between them. I am sure they will have a great time :) Its also really quiet and peaceful.

If this reply came from a listing site it may well be worth sending it to the site owners as a lot of them have a policy of fair advertising which includes detrimental comments about another area or home. The 27 is fast becoming a great area with new shops and restaurants and with new roads is no longer "out in the boonies".Your friends will have a great time I am sure .
