View Full Version : Pirate & Princess Party in April 2008
I've just been checking my dates for our April trip on www.touringplans.com and they have estimated that there are going to be Pirate & Princess Parties on a few nights that month, when the park shuts at 7pm.
Has anyone seen any official info on this?
We've done it before in Feb this year, but would definitely do it again if it's on in April, mostly for the opportunity to go on our fave rides several times! :pgig:
Oh this is fantastic news if this is true! I had seen the early closes and put them down to Grad Nites.
Oh fingers crossed, we loved the party we went to in August.
Yes Karen, there are some Grad Nights, but April 1, 4, 6, 11, 16, 23, & 29 are not Grad Nights, and are presumed to be the Party Nights.
I see your dates are similar to mine, so you should be able to fit one of the above dates into your itinerary. :d:
Anyone else going if it's on? :spin:

That will be great news for both of you if they are on again :thumb: and while you're there have a word to see if they'll run a few in August as well ;)
I wonder if we might be interested in that? We are only doing one disney day in April (have a day left on an old hopper) but if we bought tickets for the pirate and princess party at what time would we be able to get into MK? Do we need a normal ticket aswell or just the P&P ticket?
It would help my plan if we could do MK during the party and the other parks on our one day hopper.( a hectic day but doable :D)
Another thing we are all adults (girls are 15 and 16) would we look out of place if we don't dress up?
Paula
LOL Jakki, I will have a word with the man himself - Mickey! ;) I regretted not going to the P&P in August, as it would have given us some time on the rides, which was much needed with the crowds, so I'm going to book it for April if it's on, as it's going to be quite busy then as well.
Paula - you only need your P&P ticket to get in, it's officially 7pm but I have heard of people getting in earlier. You won't look out of place if you don't dress up, we went to a P&P in Feb and there were more kids than adults dressed up. My two are 13 and 17 and enjoyed it, in fact DD 17 said if we go next year she's wearing her pirate costume, which she wore to the MNSSHP last year. I'm sure you'd have a great time, the fireworks are fantastic! :d:

You can get into the parks on your P&P tickets from about 4pm onwards. So if you did the party you could save your 1 day ticket and use it at another park. That's what we are planning to do - we have two days left on old MYW tickets and hope to use these at AK and Epcot and get into MK on a P&P Ticket.
It was well worth doing the atmosphere was great and you wouldn't be out of place if you didn't dress up. DD wore her Jasmine outfit but DS just wore a pirate t-shirt and DH & I had our usual clothes on.

I'll have a quiet word with Mickey too Jakki LOL

Now I'm getting excited :jump: When will we know for definite if it's on in April?
Paula
Paula - haven't a clue, but I'm sure it will be posted here on the DIBB. If I find out earlier, I'll let you all know. :D

I was looking on another website forum  and I found this
April dates have been announced for P&P Parties
These are as follows:-
April 1st, 4th, 6th, 11th, 16th, 23rd, & 29th
Its likely more will be announced for the preceeding months, but Aprils are all that have been released at present.
Apparently it says this on the disney website that is for TA's only.

Paula, you will have a brilliant time at the party :spin: We want to go again if they hold it in August again as we had great fun. We didn't dress up either. Make sure you go early to see Jack Sparrow as the lines get really long.

I'd go for the 11th Paula in case of bad weather then you can go 16th if they cancel like this August. I know the weather is better in April but just in case.

I have never been but I am sure they will love it. Here are a couple of threads with more information. They were posted for the PPP this year but I am sure most of the information will apply for next year too.

Looks like I will be getting dressed up and of course my DS. When they announce dates officially is it possible to book from the UK or wait ‘till you get there?

The only reason we think this way is because the night after our P&P Party there was a terrible storm and Disney gave tickets for another night. I felt so sorry for those people that night the rain was torrential :(

Oh will keep my eyes open for details of this in April as we will be there till 18th and DD would love to go. Sounds great.

Simon - yes you can book from the UK, no problem. We did that for the party in Feb this year, and the tickets arrived within a week. :thumbs-up
DH is working away this weekend, and when he rang this morning I asked him if he fancied going to the party, expecting him to say, no we can't afford it. Surprise, surprise he said oh yes, we'll do that, it's great how the queues are so short. I think the August crowds got to him last trip! :pgig: So that's great news, we're all systems go for this and really looking forward to it! :d: :spin: DD and I have pirate costumes which we wore at MNSSHP last year, so we may even dress up! :d:

It's for kids of all ages including grown ups, I think! We loved our P&P party in August.
(I am a big kid at heart though  )

I have been a bit slow off the mark here but just made the same discovery as Mazzy from the same source, hence I found this thread. There's no official news on the April dates yet but we will be looking to book for the Friday 11th April date when it goes on sale.
Nice one Mazzy on your quick spotting. :wavey:
LOL Hal, it's the thought of going on BTMRR 5 times in a row which keeps me on the ball! :pgig:

Well, all the rides are open (the usual MK rides); there is a special parade; there are treasure areas where you line up for candy or beads; carnival style games (eg shooting the pirates, get the rope on the hook); lots of disco and character meeting areas; special firework show.
I would say if you enjoy the MK ordinarily you would enjoy this event equally if not more :) If you aren't an MK fan then it may not be for you.
Anything else I've forgotten?

Karen, you forgot to mention the most important thing of all ...
... you get to have your picture taken with Captain Jack Sparrow! ;)
Well that was one of my main reasons for going this year! :pgig:

Is there any offical news on the P&P we are going in April May time, and would love to be able to do this. When booking my ADR's the other day I did ask if there were any dates in April, however the lovely lady on the other end, said there was nothing showing up after the end of March.
