Any votes as to which resort:) am tempeted to go with terre verde because it has a bit more resort feel, fishing lake etc.but any views would be welcome we have stayed on the 27 before so not a problem but just thought terre verde would be a nice area too:confused2

I have tried the US27 and championsgate area. I heve never tried the east end of the 192, but if you are doing a lot of Universal/Seaworld/Shopping I would say you have less driving from this area - this is only a guess and you could stay off the I4 if heavily congested.
We are currently looking for a villa for my in laws, had a quote from Terra Verde and it was quite expensive - although it looks a fab resort.

We're booked for Terre Verde next Oct(08)...Got a 4 bed Townhouse with its own pool, the resort looks great so we're really looking forward to it!
I did loads of research & decided this area would be best for us next trip!
There are plenty of restaurants and shops at this end of the 192 and it is not far from Old Town, Kissimmee, you can also go to Disney via Osceola Parkway for a 75c toll.

Our villa is on Highgate so I can give you details about there.
Highgate is a great community, really peaceful and quiet, its gated, it has tennis court and childrens play area. The houses are well spaced out. Close by is a Walmart at Cagans Crossing where there is also a chillis, and some individually owned restaurants. 5 Minuts south of Highgate at Berry town center is a Publix, applebees, chinese and Indian.
I have never been to Terra Verde, but i suppose it depends on whether you would use the extra facilites offered or not. We would neve use any community pool or clubhouse, but each family are different.
I am sure you will have a great holiday whatever you decide :)

I,ve stayed on Highgate and really like it. I think the location is great, it's really close to the 192 and the supermarkets, really quiet. It's not a resort though. Personally I would also not use the facilities of a resort and prefer my 'own space', but it depends what you want. :)
We love the Terre Verde area having stayed at Eagle Pointe and Seasons.
Find the back way through Eagle point to get to Bass Road or use Oren Brown Road to get to Walmart.
We would always use the 535 northboundand then Apoka Vineyard to avoid the I4 in the mornings. In fact we only used the 192 when going out to eat in the evening.
The only word of caution is that I've read on here that there are roadworks on Poinciana Blvd to make it into a dual carriage way. It may be worth checking how long they will be going on for.
Have a great time.

We are also looking for a villa just now for the in laws and have a very good quote for a Highgate villa - the homes there look very nice indeed.
