Half term flights!!

Hi guys :)
I've been looking around for a while now and im having absolutely no luck finding a flight to either Turkey or Greece during the Oct half term. Some websites are quoting £800 return!! :omg:
I was just wondering if any of you know if the prices go down last minute??

I'd love to know this too...Been looking all morning & they are all still highly priced!
We can only really fly on 20th(for 7 nights) but happy to go from any London, Bristol or even Cardif...But want a bargain!!
Am prepared to wait as late as next Thursday to book but has anyone ever managed to get a very late bargain for Half Term?

You know the Cardiff deals to Spain/Balearics with Mytravel plus there's one or two around further afield in the med.

For Gatwick 19th/20th would you consider Salou as a starter from £750 ....TBH meals/transfers etc seem not worth while on short haul these days but you could add them on to this quote

Thanks Karen....Salou is a real possibility, I'd seen this exact hol last week but at £220 each so they are coming down a little, I will keep an eye on that one definately!

Otherwise the Cardiff flights look good!
Will let you know if/when I find my holiday bargain, although I'm at work now for 2 days so wont have so much time to search!

Still hoping for our bargain!
We can only go either Fri 19th late or Saturday 20th, as must be back for DS football match the following Sunday!
We are thinking of Majorca but only cheap flights now are from Cardiff...which we may end up doing!
My parents are in Majorca this week & its been 85-90 degrees every day!
I'm still living in hope that whats left will drop in price by Thursday..Will let you know!

I let you know that Greece will be lot of raining in October.

As I was going tobook Crete for this Tuesday but I changed my mind as read the tripadvisor that the weather was bad in October.

Never know it will be sunny anyway.

Pleased you didnt book Greece-I checked their weather too & it looks a bit 'iffy'!

We are still holding out for Majorca from Gatwick on Sat. preferably, but Bristol & Cardif still available at moment. Majorca weather is still lovely-my parents are still there although should have sailed on their cruise around Med today but the Ship has a fault & is delayed leaving port!(Ocean Village 2) :omg:
They've had all last week in Majorca & weather has been fab so fingers crossed we get there & get same! :grin:

I'm away in London at a meeting all day tomorrow so no chance to check the net 'till tomorow night..We will have to make a final decision on thursday as i'm off work so could actually start packing!!

If we dont go anywhere we will be decorating our lounge!! :cry:

No, we are staying put...decorating the lounge instead which is ok i suppose(Not really my kinda holiday though!) :cry:

This was the 1st time I'v ever tried to get a last minute holiday & to be honest we wont bother again...they just dont seem to be around anymore unless its just our bad luck this year with us having had such a poor summer that the prices have held!

Friends have gone to Tenerife from Bournemouth yesterday(Fri) but at £400 each i dont call that a last min bargain! :omg:

May look whats around for Feb half term NOW!! ;)

Otherwise be patient & wait for our Florida trip next October thats already all booked! :D

Yes, i found loads for last week...but we needed this week as its Half Term.
Also if we could go Wed or Thurs of next week there are loads to be had..OK if no kids to think of!!

Never mind...Using the time off to decorate plus moved our LO from Cot to his big bed tonight so have the week to settle him..Been up twice tonight already! :zzz:
