Hi
I'm after a bit of advise for my son and his girlfriend. They are going to LA next July (school holidays as he is a teacher). Any ideas on best flight prices would be really useful please.
Thanks

I'm sure someone will be along with some information for that time of year soon.

For information July will be quite expensive (as I'm sure you are expecting), and is before the sales that the Airlines do. For example we flew into LAX when we went to Vegas a few weeks back and it cost us £360 return each in the sale.

A quick glance at Expedia shows Virgin @ £590 return per person and BA about the same. Direct that is. Indirect doesn't come out any cheaper for the midweek dates I put in.

Hopefully someone who has flown into LA during the school holidays will be able to give you more details of what they paid, and when they booked.

Thanks for replying Juitfc.
They spotted the Virgin one I think. They may have to go with that one unless anyone does have any other suggestions.
Thanks again

Alternatives are using indirect.. BMI/Ted via vegas any american airline via its hub, KLM via amsterdam (oddly can be quicker)

Now Im not usually an advocate of indirect flights but one advantage when going west coast is that on your return trip you could schedule in a free stopover. Ie in Nov from LAX we will use the stop over to take in the airshow and have a weekend in Vegas..

Hi
American Airlines have started flying from Stanstead so they might be worth a look.
They have some good deals at the moment.
