I have a few documents that were created in Word Pro (.lwp files) which if I open in Microsoft Word appear as gobbledegook. Anyone know how to do this or any other way of opening the files without buying a fresh copy of Word Pro?

Thanks in advance
Peter

have had a quick look for you but can't see how to do it but this site will convert it to a pdf free so you can at least read it

and if you still have lotus installed on your computer you can do this

Open the Word Pro Document, on the File menu, click SAVE AS. Then scroll down the LIST OF FILE TYPES, list until you find the most recent or latest version of Microsoft Word that is listed. Click on that latest version, then click OK. You also have the ability to save to a different directory, you will want to choose this before you click OK.

Download the program from here (http://www.s2services.com/lwp-viewers.htm) peter and see if that works for you.

Simon and Paul, many thanks for your help. Unfortunately the original files have passwords and I can't get past the initial stage either in PDF converter or WordPro viewer to enter them. Looks like I may have to buy a copy but thanks again anyway.
